She had been sitting quietly, just watching, her mind racing with the myriad thoughts that ran rampant in her mind...when she saw him looking at her. And despite the fact that after she'd blinked, Thomas appeared to still be sleeping, she knew he'd been looking at her. Or, looking at something near her, even though when she looked around there was nothing. Frowning, she watched him intently, only barely glancing at Father Ulrich and the wounded drow occasionally. The frown looked uncomfortable on her face, and when Thomas awoke after Father Ulrich, he would notice the thoughts that were weighing Anna down. She was used to little if any sleep, so she rose quietly, stretching as she muttered a greeting to the two men, staring at Thomas as he tended to the drow. She was hardly hungry, with all that she was contemplating, but quietly, she offered to find breakfast.
"Any particular somethin anyone wishes fer breakfast? I should be able tae find some quail eggs and berries, if that's acceptable..."
She waited, a brow arching, fidgeting slightly with the lacing on her bodice. |
