She'd been brewing about their predicament for some time now, and the indignity of being tossed around like a doll was beginning to wear on her patience. She knew what happened when she was worn thin....and then, *POOF!* Sa'kura was gone. Just...like...that. She'd heard the muttering, and then the drow had disappeared. The simmering anger she'd tried to keep at bay flared quickly, as flames often do under a cauldron when fanned. First Thomas, and now the drow?? When Anna had been the one to offer herself up to take the brunt of their captors' wrath?!? And to leave her...with Ulrich?!! She'd had enough. She was done playing games. The soft rumble that had begun deep in her belly became a slight growl, nearly too slight to hear, her face contorting as the shift began. The elf that had been so seamlessly carting her along was quite suddenly thrown off kilter by the now unbearable weight from above. He stumbled, letting out the beginnings of a yelp as both he and Anna disappeared into the underbrush. Suddenly, a soft rustling was heard behind the remaining group, towards the direction closest to Ulrich and his carriers....then nothing at all.
As the group stopped, wondering where the two elven women and their other party member had gone, that soft rustle came again, before the giant panther lept from the underbrush, seemingly from BENEATH Ulrich and his transport. The massive bulk of the panther knocked the two elves aside, as Ulrich's body came down nearly square on the panther's back. Then, they were gone, silently into the darkness that was closing in on the group left standing.
