Billy's condition was definately worrying her. What had he done? She figured he had moved during their rest and had gone hunting and had found something spoiled. Or, perhaps something had come to him. Shivering, she blocked that from her mind. Who knew what was out here. It wasn't something she wished to dwell about now.
And she shook her head as he begged for her to get them to stop watching him. She had no control over these people and she wasn't a nurturer by nature, but she was going to help him the best she could.
At his request for water, she turned to Thomas and opened her mouth. He was quicker than she with a response to move to water. Nodding, she tried to help Billy to his feet. In her frustration of pulling Billy up, she would miss Zehera's comment on the water situation. It would be for the best.
Thinking she was forgetting something, she turned with an appologetic smile to Annabella to take the pouch of herbs. What a wonderful thought. Dublin was beginning to think this woman really had her ducks in a row. At another time or place she would have considered interviewing her. She would make a great story.
Her eyes narrowed then as Zehera took the pouch from Annabella's hand just as she had been reaching for it. Well. She could have been sure that that had been meant for her to take. Shaking her head, she turned and went back to Billy and picked up the pouch he held and slipped it into the pocket of her skirt. She would talk to Annabella about what to do with it later.
A bit put off, she waited silently for the party to begin moving to a new location. | |
