| Transfer day is here again and the talk at the end of last season was that a few lammas players were seeking to play their football else where. Having won the league I find it unbelievable that some body would want to leave a title winning team.
Having hung up my gloves now, I feel I can give some want away players a bit of advice, play to the highest level you can, for as long as you can, cos when your knees are shot and your gut is touching your thighs and youve turned into that person who was a good player in his day, you will think to yourself I really wish I had carried on playing at a standard that I was more than capable of playing, push yourselves as hard as you can and remember winning the league the first time is hard but defending it is even harder.
Take it from me dropping down a level or two to play with your mates is fun at first but does not have the self satisfaction of defending your title and winning more silverware with the best football team the Lammas have ever had fact. If your going to leave then I hope it is for a team that plays at a higher level and not lower.
No one likes us as it is, so having no one liking us as champions will be even more fun. Hope you do all stay it is your club after all and where we are at now is where we have wanted to be for a very long time so enjoy while you can.
Good luck for next season.
