Dogger (no login) 77.101.252.22 | MY GOD HAVE WE LOST THE LEAGUE ALREADYNo score for this post | August 14 2008, 11:54 PM |
We didnt start last season too well having drawn at Merrow on the opening day and losing to CB Hounslow early doors too so nothing to get to worried about.
Being last season champions makes each game a little harder or course.
Yes 2 players will be looking at a ban but with both being two yellows, it will only be one game. We can thank the referee for spoiling the opening game, In fairnes though, even with 9 players for the last half hour, we were still the better team and should have nicked it late on.
We were unlucky at hanworth, had chances to win it and we were refused a blatant penalty in the first half and hanworth won it with a penalty in the second half but hey shit happens.
I have gotta say thought that Hanworth have done a terrific job with their lights and stand and surrounding parts of the ground and a big well done to them but that pavilions got to go. Still it serves beer so can't grumble too much.
Manager is not too bothered, got loads on holiday at the moment and I mean loads but are returning shortly. Yes silly time to go but I guess the fanny only come out at certain times of the year.
Yes we have placed quite a big emphasis on youth mixed up with experience but I dont think we have got to worry too much about an away trip to Warlingham on a freezing wet day, we have got them next Saturday and it will probably be quite warm although wouldn't count my chickens with the British weather the way it is at the moment. Anyway, are you suggesting Warlingham go round kicking lumps out of players - now that surprises me???
Shed any light - who mentioned the shed, we got rid of that years ago.
We had a very interesting visit this week from a very influential figure. We are at a very delicate stage at the moment on redevelopment and it would compromise our position to explain our plans but needless to say we are extremely excited at the what the future holds and all will be revealed in time.
Anyway - stop whimging and get the beers in | |
