Joe's only been gone 5 minutes so unfair not to give everyone at the Lammas a little bit of credit. Nathan gave a very young Joe an opportunity when he first arrived at the club when everyone else abandoned him. Hampton & Richmond were one team I recall.
He has developed into a brilliant player since being with us and Nathan gave him specific duties within the team that enhanced his game. Other managers may have adopted a different approach with him and for all we know, he could well have been playing laft back for someone else right now.
Of course, it's not all down to the Lammas hut it shows that we are prepared to offer the youngsters an opportunity. You only get out of football what you put in and Joe appears to be going from strength to strength and if he keeps developing like he has over recent seasons, he could go onto bigger and better things.
Joe has had quite a few clubs, including professional clubs looking at him recently and some of the more scynical of us might suggest that Ashford only signed him on a contract with a view to making some money on him should a big move come off. Whatever happens we wish him well.
There will always be people criticising this club but we are proud of what we do and what we have achieved and hopefully that will continue. Honey is absolutely right, we have good people in significant areas and we are in good hands. The futures bright - the futures Lammas (and dont forget you heard that here). |

I think if you asked the player he might feel the lammas let him down a bit......going to the local paper and saying the way he left shows no respect??? (quoted by your manager)
now you want to take credit???
If you look after your players a bit better (ie) encourage them rather than slag them off!!! Joe johnson may still have been playing with his mates at the lammas this season, and it could have been the lammas in the spotlight having league clubs watching joe at there ground........ and who knows even buying him from the lammas....?
"Look after your players and they will look after you"!!! (you heard that here first too) |

Good old Steve…..a very extensive vocabulary????? Criticism is all part of the game!!
So when a comment on here includes the truth is that your answer just to swear?
nice response from a committee member?
Lammas lost first team players
Joe Johnson
Jay Coombes
Liam Stone
Jamie Lee Smithers
Dale Webb
Who will get out while they can next?
this year let in 1 goal a game last year 0.75 a game
scored 3 goals a game last year, this year only 1...............slippery sloap!
Timba wont stay
Munnsy is injured
Cookie will be off
Sean Ryan hasnt been seen for the first team(last years captin)
Eggington playing centre back.......???
Mark the goalkeeper couldnt lace liams boots....
Dean greenwood right back..........??? last year couldnt get a game as a centre mid.(where he actually plays)
Adam Ridley not in the team but the most natural centre backs i have seen at the club.
as for the comment about bring in staines youth boys.....do you think thats a good idea....new players most weeks....piss all the regulars off and then get a midweek fixture away and find out they cant play?????
Good luck.........you need it!

Right first things first joe johnson has left ashford town because he was not involved in 2nites game and was left out of the squad and hes has returned to Camberley (fact.
What are all these mugs talking about all the players left have been replaced by fresher players who have years in them
Dan cox signed from Ashford town replaces Liam Stone, Great and better replacement.
Jimmy Stamford from Ashford town replaces Joe Johnson, Ideal replacement.
Jimmy Brazil, Matt Adams, Craig Masham, replaces Jay coombs, Jamie lee and Timba, Fantastic replacements.
Then you have players like Jamie Redrup and Ben Jacobs to strengthen the team.
Thats without mentioning players like Munnsy, Willmore, Bully, Baker, Cookie and Ray Randall who is still out injured!
Oh and Ridley is goin on holiday for 3 weeks so thats why hes been out!
Admittingly we will miss players like Dale Webb and Sean Ryan but thats football and we must move on, hopefully we can get sean back because hes playin reserves and that would be a bonus.
You get them playing together and in 10 games time ur see a totally different team!!
Fuck villa, up the lammas boys!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

good assement there arsenal ,
shame joe would leave for not being in the squad on his first game there , good news for cambo ,
sean is very much part of the plans if he wants to be ,
as for cox not sure its a done deal but good if it is , no disrepect to mark good competition and with young joel looking an excellent but raw young goalkeeper and myself of course ,
up the lammas ,
and with the ground being brought upto standard we have a very bright future , whoever wants to knock us |
