Concord Boy Attacked by Pit Bulls

(CBS 5) A ten-year-old boy was attacked by two pit bulls as he walked
down the street near his Concord home Tuesday.

The child was in stable condition Wednesday, after hours of surgery.
Police said he had bites on his legs, arms, and abdomen. Witnesses said
they scared the dogs away by beating them with a pipe and firing a gun
in the air.

The dogs were quarantined during the investigation.
