REGISTRY DIDN'T SAVE COPS

Published claims from gun control enthusiasts that the recent deaths of
RCMP officers Marc Bourdages and Robin Cameron show the value of the gun
registry and the need for its retention make absolutely no sense, since
the registry was in place and in effect when these deaths occurred! How
dead police officers show the effectiveness of this legislation escapes
me. There may very well be valid reasons why we might want to keep this
system in place, but this latest proclamation definitely isn't one of
them. It's a painfully transparent attempt to pre-empt any logical and
reasonable discussion with a heap of grief and emotion, and is insulting
to the memory of these officers.
