Wheelchair-bound Man Shoots Attacker

A homeowner who is confined to a wheelchair shot and wounded
a man who confronted him on his door step, Atlanta police
told 11Alive News.

The homeowner was on his way out of his house on Flat Shoals
Avenue Friday morning when he ran into a man at his door.
The homeowner asked the man to leave, but the man started to
assault the homeowner, authorities said.

During a struggle, the homeowner grabbed a gun and shot the
attacker in the arm and chest.

The suspect was taken to the hospital. His condition was
not known.

The homeowner was not injured.
