Saw blades flashed at a distance on a couple of occasions but only up close once.
Waiting to get in at the Victoria ground one year when a kid that was no older than 13 pulled out a big fuck off hunting knife and told me to hand over my money.:o ,the little cunt got slapped and told to fuck off.
The only time i have come close to being damaged by a blade was i got off the bus at ivy square when playing Leicester.
As i got off the bus there were a few young lads knocking about at the stop mouthing off,i pushed one out of the way and walked down to meet a mate at The Grange.
When i got there he asked me what had happened to my coat and when i looked it had been slashed 4 or 5 times down the back.
Luckily i was layered up as i has been working out in the cold all day and had come straight from work.
