Yes I was there that night, and pretty much remember it as Forever Derby has written, 2 trains for a night game away in midweek! We got split up inside the ground and ended up on a side terrace open end next to the Brighton end where a few Derby were parked next with a line of OB. We tried in vain loads of times to get in and it was a grim night weather wise as it pissed it down. Afterwards it went mental and fighting everywhere, a very similar station approach as at Derby Midland Road, and all I can remember is very bright lights and milk bottles raining down on us from everywhere. Derby fans were lobbing them at us thinking we were Brighton at one point! I would also say that many Derby lads didn't go to the game as inside the ground we didn't have that many fans yet there were around 600 to 700 on each train at least. I too would like to hear some other accounts, can't believe it's 33 years, I was nearly 21.
