Ok people...Lets get this forum underway...What is everyone 3 most memorable 3 Degrees concerts that you attended and favorite songs (other than the hits). What made you like those songs? My 3 favorite B-side songs are "Starlight", "Hot Summer Night", and "If and When". I like the soulfulness of "Starlight" with its Horn arrangements. "Hot Summer Night" is a good disco tune with a nice beat. "If and When" sung live was always a beautiful peace...Now lets get to talking everyone..

1990 it was. yezzz, strange enough, the first time... i never had seen the 3 degrees before. you have to understand that i was in love with their music (hehe, mmm, the rest i don't tell ya) way back in 1973 at 13 years old. my folks at home couldn't hear my favourite song anymore: "if and when". i think i played it a thousand time... but, back to 1990. the place to be: zandvoort, the netherlands. after a sleepless night, we, my pregnant wife (sten, my boy, i think that's why you are so crazy about the ladies) a friend and i drove about 200 km BUT we arrived too late for the show !!! so much people, traffic at the event. somewhere far, far away at the beach, i've heard for the first time 'my simple heart'. my wife said, go gino, run man ! i will find you... so, i did. run, run, run... finally, i was there... to see cindy, valerie and helen doing the last song (wwisya ?) and going of the stage. i can tell y'all that this guy was so angry!!! so, i waited until my wife and friend found me. ok, we said, let's have a drink and get drunk... (i sure was in the mood for that!). but, oh lucky we were! we discovered that there was a second show two hours later! (thank you lord!)
so, we waited and finally ... for the first time in my life ...
THE THREE DEGREES (you want to see a photo?).
i will always remember the "...and holding" songs 'live'. oooh, every song had so much energy ! "tie u up", "lock it up".
i will never forget the song "make it easy on yourself". valerie, you sing this song like nobody else can.
even today, when i think about that first show, it makes me happy.
a lot of good memories followed: the first time we actually met you ladies, two years later in 1992, and finally met some other fans like jean-pierre, a friendship that will last a lifetime.
so, that's my first story. i really like to know yours !

I'll Never Forget When I Saw The Girl's On USA-TV! (After So Many Years of Not!) They (V/H/V) Were On The 1989 R&B Soul Awards Show Singing That Song & I Didn't See Them Again (On USA-TV!) Till That Fabulous PBS Special "Rhythm, Love & Soul" When (V/H/C) Sang "W.W.I.S.Y.A." (It Was Very "Glam" Too!!!)
Re: Jean-Pierre,...You Have a Good Friend in Him Gino! (I Was Also Very "Lucky" To Get in Contact With J.P. About 10+ Years Ago!) & WE Have Been "Friends" Now For About 10+ Years!!! He Is a TRUE Blue Friend Who Has "Helped" Me For Many, Many Years With My "3-D Collection"!!!
Also,...When He Was On Holiday (A Few Years Back!) He Even Came To The USA To "Visit" & Meet With Me!!!

favourite concerts;
1976 Beach club in Zandvoort, Holland.
Still remember being completely in awe going to my first concert ever as a young puber.
Some 20-what years later;
IT-club, Amsterdam
After losing track of the group for a while, due to emigration to the US, finding out they still had it.
Favorite b-side songs;
Definetaly If and When and MacArthurspark (favourite performance BBC show 1976)
But also I didn't know , Can't you see what you're doing to me
and In love we grow
Actually too many too mention over such a long period of years.
But all songs on the albums Seltitled, The Roulette years and New Dimensions are magnificant.
Missing most nowadays;
Violins like in the old days with the orchestras they recorded with.
