Hi Again,
I've been trying to find out who sang leads on what songs. So far it seems like Sheila had most of the leads with Val singing every now and then. Is this true? Did Fayette ever sing any leads? I think she was lead on " Shades of green" but I also thought Val sang lead on Dirty ol' man, for years so...lol...I'm not that good at hearing the vocal differences. Someone help me out!

Yes, Fayette did lead on some tracks such as "lonelier are fools,Souvenirs( from the Japanese release Toast of love)and not to forget all the beautifull solo spots during the concerts! songs during their roulette time....

Thanks Jean Pierre for informing our NEW friends of who sang what.
While we may not have led that many,Hit,songs on record we shared the spotlight on stage quite often, and still do!
Fayette took lead on the following songs as well:
Somos Novios
MacArthur Park
Ebb Tide
The Grass will Sing For You
Good Morning Heartache
Shades Of Green
Requiem
Those were just the songs that were recorded, on stage there were quite a few more!
We are greatful for well informed friends they always do us PROUD!!

Thinking back, Faye sang lead on quite a few of the Swan recordings, like "Do What You're Supposed To Do" and "Tales are True" too!
On stage, she also sang "Where Am I Going/Rainy Days and Mondays" during the 1975 Tour and in 1976 did a wonderful rendition of "Send in the Clowns" - that was fantastic! She sang a part of "Didnt We" also on that tour and, as Val said, shared lead on lots of other live material too, one of the most memorable being the John Miles classic, "Music", also in '76.
If I can think of anymore, I will let you all know!

( I think someone in this part of the forum didn't get the message, but okė, it can happen, I think}
Shocked and sadned as I am about the sudden passing of Fayette, I see apreciation and praise for her work and personality, reading the SDF-site and the Three Degrees- site /forum.
That is a beautifull thing and comforting.
She deserves it, even after leaving the group so many years ago, she still is remembered in the highest esteem.
May I suggest this site makes some changes to its content concerning Fayette, (faq), and also add some personal thoughts of Valerie, with more details how Fayette was doing the last years.
For the fans..
Thank you
Harry

True fans can pick their distinct voices out. WWISYA done today with Valerie on lead is wonderful, but Fayette, Sheila and Valerie created magic with the original version. I see that they are confirmed in Las Vegas in August. I am trying to get tickets and get there. I missed their performance in Philly and can afford the overseas concerts. I still love their music today. The you tube performances are wonderful, take a moment, watch and relive history. That is what the performances of all The Three Degrees.
