When you were a cashier and you waited on Richard Barrett,you would be greeted with a "Hello Babe".A great man who lived in a neighborhood that before him,no man of color lived and courage and the "spirit" were with him.As i walked into a card store today to send his family a card to express my grief over his passing on to the final reward,the song "Baby I'm Amazed" played over the loudspeaker.Richard is definately seated at the table of happiness and those who prevented his book from being published are the one's who he has probably forgiven.Hope someday to be seated at the table with him when it's my time to pass.
