Last night the ladies performed in Amsterdam in front of about 10.000 people. Among them some of the 'old' hardcore friends. The theme of The venue was called 'The Soul Of Motown' (!?). First the former ladies of the Supremes came up, followed by Jocelyn Brown (Gee, what a voice). The closing act were the 3 Degrees. Looking good and sounding good. Songs: Lifting me higher/take me higher, Giving Up Giving In, Year of decision, take good care of yourself, Dirty ol' man, When will I see you again, Dance little sister. The audience was pretty much warmed up when the ladies came on stage and sang every song with them. The show was over far too quickly. Unfortunately enough we didn't meet the ladies afterwards. Better luck next time.

Ruud,
Indeed it was a night to remember.
Great seeing you again, and the others of the 'old' die-hards, and even greater to see the ladies perform live again myself, since 15 years or so.
Not an inch of their talents and profesionalism on stage got lost in that time!
They looked fantastic and Helen stirred the crowd up nicely (WWISYA).Voices still intact and they played the audience superb.
In the overcrowded tram back home everybody hummed their songs, even my partner. and that says something.....
All in all a great night.
The only thing slightly disturbing I can think of was the 'higher medley' as opening, but that's personal. I like the first part, but in the second part: How many times can you squeeze the word 'higher'into 10 minutes??
There has to be a more glamoures and catchier opening.Or skip the second part.
But, deserved, they were the Top-act and brought the house down.
A night to remember!
Hopefully in the next future another performance (and greet, before I'm 60)
Valerie,Cynthia,Helen...THANK YOU!

We, Sten, my wife & I, travelled 300 km up and down to see you and WOW, like Ruud & Harry said (didn't see you guyz, only Robert & Alex with their friends), PROF PROF PROF !!!
But there is something that we've got to say.
It's a pitty that we were not allowed to see you... We believe, and it disturbs us a lot, that certain people who are 'fan' too (we thought that fans should help eachother ???), prohibit us to meet you. It's the third time that this happens in Holland, when he's in the neighbourhood.
To this guy, we all know well, we want to say:
a- You claim (that's your answer to us) that the ladies don't have the time for meeting us ? We don't believe that for a sec. All we want is 5 minutes meet and greet.
b- We are above teenager age (47, if you want to know) and we don't want to be treated like a teenagers when we are waiting like fools at the entrance.
It's certainly not our opinion alone, and therefor somebody has to protest.
So dearest friend, what do you have to say about this ?
Best regards,
Gino & family

I was very pleased to read that you had a great time at the RAI gig. I have heard from other friends of the Girls how good it was....
Unfortunately, I found it very disturbing that you were treated so badly after the Gig, apparently by one particular person. I think it must be said that there are those of us out there suffering from delusions of grandeur - a self-made importance that unfortunately does not sit well with others who have been around for the same amount of time, or even longer. I am sure that the Girls would be very upset to know what you have previously stated - that one individual takes it upon himself to make decisions without consulting the people concerned, in this case, our gracious Ladies. Perhaps in future you and your family, or anyone else who finds themselves in this particularily nasty position, should speak to, as we say in Great Britain - the Organgrinder and not a self-appointed Monkey who has as much control in decision making as we all do...which is NONE! That kind of decision is the Girls and noone else's to make. Hopefully your wife and family weren't too saddened by this and did not have their evening spoiled.
I do think this kind of behaviour should be addressed as noone wants any bad feelings; the Girls have always been so pleased to meet and greet people and it would be a shame for them to be seen in a bad way when they know nothing about it. Their kindness and graciousness to all of us in legendary - please don't let a minority spoil that.

Sorry we didn't meet last friday. Eka and I were standing about 20 meters from the stage. I guess you were somehere in front. Nevertheless, it was a good show. Pity the sound wasn't that good. But RAI is 'famous' for it's bad acoestics.
It's a shame that you guys weren't allowed to say 'Hi' to the girls. I remember something like that happened a few years ago to me too. I went together with Jean-Pierre to a gig in Belgium (I forgot the name of the city). I think you were there too. That time were also not 'allowed' to meet the ladies. I think it is the same person who told you that you couln't get backstage who told us. As far as I know the girls are always happy to see some familiar faces and they have never told me that they didn't have time to say 'Hi'. It might be a very brief 'Hi', but they always take the time.
If I were you I would look back on a good performance and forget about the annoying experience. I'm sure there will be a next time when you can meet & greet the girls.
