An Open Letter to........

Dear Mr VandeKamp,

I must say, I do belive it is time to quit flogging that dead horse. In the last 8 games the 3 forwards that you play for about one-third or more of each game have not been performing to the standard that initially got them their ice time. In the first few games Mr Patterson was benched when you did not feel he performed to your high expectations, one can only assume you have now lowered your expectations or is it time to "Get Smart".

The facts, then, go this way. In the last 9 games the team is 1-8, and have been outscored 33-12. In those 9 games this line has provided you with 3 goals. That is one goal every 3 games. Mr Hunter has 2, Mr Patterson has 1, and Mr Drazenovic has not scored. This would appear to be 3rd or 4th line production with 1st line ice.

Mr Patterson has 3 Assists, Mr Hunter has 2 Assists and Mr Drazenovic has 1.
As a line they are -5 and have amassed a total of 65 minutes in penalties.

One can only assune that if the WHL/Russia team was chosen today Mr Hunter and Mr Drazenovic would not be on that team, although they both did perform admirably in the two games.

I just do not believe you are getting the value you are seeking, unless you have lowered your expectations and have lost faith in the team as a whole.
