Response to YOU STILL HAVEN'T...
It's going to take me a few minutes to round up all the trades since "YOU" I mean Mr.Thompson took over as GM. You are getting pretty defensive for a "COOGSUPERFAN" You couldn't by chance be Dallas?
The recent messup in which he is trying to fix the whole Ryan Kerr mess. He trades him in which he went on his own and against all of his scouts reconmendations and drafts him first overall. So we have Kerr and King for Sagert and Dudas. So far even based on Dudas has been hurt and Kerr hasn't done anything and I'll give King and Sagert pretty much the same value. But Kerr shouldn't have been a top ten pick. Dallas's words "a excellent skater". This is actually one I think Dallas might win, if Dudas pans out.
Berube and Bray for Walker, basically Berube for Walker as Bray has been sent to tier 2. I thought Berube had alot of upside and was going to be a very good D-Man in the future. Walker hasn't impressed me, he has had a few good games but he has taken away valuable ice time that could be used up by Rai and Tyrell. Winner Red Deer.
Josh Aspenlind for Feakes and Stengler. Feakes and Stengler are bagging groceries somewhere and Aspenlind is a great leader in the dressing room and on the ice. Clear winner Swift Current. Last year Feakes was a cancer in the dressing room and Stengler was soft. "cowboy up"
Pogge, Yeo and Lucas for Bowles, Rogers and Zalasky. At first glance it looked good for the cougars, at first glance
Pogge was a great dressing room guy and at this level it is huge to have a leader in the dressing room. Where is Pogge playing right now???????????????????? Yeo played good last year and apparently is struggling right now but he would be producing as much as rogers, and Lucas and Zalasky is six of one half dozen of another. Bowles though has been good at times here. Winner Calgary.
The trades at the deadline did look good but they got rid of the two best dressing room guys, they would be great here this year.
I need to figure the rest of the trades Dallas has botches and I will post.
The deadline is Jan.10 so yes I do think he should be here working and not on holidays over Christmas, scouting for the future is just as important.
