BECAUSE...

in this particular case...many in PG feel this particular organization owes more back to the fans that supported them through the many "lean" years they had to endure. I agree that a "booster club" could organize things like this, but there has to be a good team over a fairly long time to develop a decent booster club so again, in this case, it would fall onto the organization's shoulders to reach out to the community they are "so thankful for".
