Has anyone taken a good hard look at how many 18 year olds actually stick past the 10 game mark in the NHL ?? Of these few that stick, how many have played a full season in their previous year, not many. Give your head a shake, once drafted an 18 year old player needs to play, what better than his junior team that could really use him. What would his NHL team be risking, absolutely nothing and saving a bunch of money. One only has to put themselves in the drivers seat of any NHL team, they are not trying to build around him if it is even a question about his injury. They will have a bigger master plan. The cougars are not relying on their 1994 players to totally pull them through next season, they will definately help but i like to think that there is a bigger plan. Brett will be a nice addition to any team but he will be back in Prince George to develope for one more year. Then we will see some fireworks with his drafted team. | |
