Very, Very well said. You are very correct at the crap shoot statement. Where will these players be in 2 years ?? Some of the best rounded players were picked in the late rounds, developed better than players choosen ahead of them, and went on to be good players. I agree, you need to take the best talent available, do your homework to see if they will report, and what other family decisions have been made. I hated it when you look back at the Eric Lindros situation. It is a privilage to play in the WHL and you need to report to whom ever selects you, work hard and develope. That would make it so much easier ?? Maybe the Dub should look at a new rule that states " Your drafted, if you don't report then there is some sort of penalty ?? Don't know, just putting it out there ??
