"Intensity lacking at times in Caps’ camp"

The Cowichan Valley Capitals have quickly whittled down their roster from nearly 80 players to 30 following a busy Phase I training camp weekend for the B.C. Hockey League club.

The Caps’ brass wasn’t entirely happy with the tone of camp, considering many players had just a limited opportunity to strut their stuff and convince the team they belonged.

Other players the Caps expected in camp were also absent while entertaining Western Hockey League opportunities. Dan Gendur has signed with the Prince George Cougars and won’t be returning.
