PG is no hockey town (no login) Posted Dec 16, 2005 10:42 PM
Another good game by the Cougars. Pretty strong effort from the goaltending out, helped them stretch the lead over Kamloops a little bit.
Where the hell have all the fans gone????PG is 11-4 at home, is 4 games above .500 before Christmas nad yet we have 3 games in a row with well under 3000 fans. Every clown who gets on here and posts negative crap about the team should can it. All the talk was if the team was competeive the fans would be back. Well, here they are and the attendance is sliding. Great support for our team here. I also don't want to hear a lot of crap about how good it used to be, and how much money our old pal Rick made here in the past. Who cares? You don't live in the past. This is now and business sucks.
Typical negative PG attitude. People in this town want everything (concerts, shopping, fine arts, sports), but when it comes time to put up or shut up, support these things then guess what happens. Oh yeah, we can support a BCHL team. No knock on the Spruce Kings, but major centres like Quesnel, Trail, Powell River can do that too. Well, I guess the people of our fine city have decided that the 2nd tier is where it's at.
I hope that the team will continue to do well and the bandwagon will fill up. Forget about the money aspect, this team is representing our city pretty well and deserves some support.
I'll get off the soapbox now. |
