Well then the next question you should ask yourself is, Hmmm I wonder who is directly responsible for the Cougars not being very good? Then the next question you have to ask yourself is why is it so hard to get big name quality coaches and staff to come work for the Cougars? Is it just because the Cougars aren't very good?
I'm not sure who you've been talking to but everyone that I have ever talked to on the subject is upset with the ownership and their alleged lack of commitment to winning and lately their apparent lack of commitment to the city. I mean the topic isn't even worth debating, it quit clear and obvious. If you've followed these message boards and if you've really talked to the former seasons ticket holders that used to fill the building you would know people have been disgruntled with ownership for years even when the building was full.
You can disagree if you want but you are contradicting yourself if you are saying that the fans aren't upset with ownership, they're just upset because the Cougars aren't very good.
Personally I don't even care about winning or losing at this point as long as the Cougars ice a competitive team most of the time the entertainment factor sells itself. You either are a hockey fan or you aren't. If you like hockey you go to hockey games, if you aren't a hockey fan you stay home or go to the bar or casino or what ever is is that non-hockey fans do.
I'm not going to waste my time being angry with and trashing ownership and management because what I really am a fan of is keeping the Cougars in P.G and I don't care if I'm the only fan there. I truly love hockey and I would rather have the Cougars stay here and lose than not have them at all. Sadly it would seem that there are only about 3000 other true hockey fans like me in P.G. |
