| After reading the post in todays PG Free Press it seems that people are still quite upset with Scottie Bowles release and susequent pickup in the OHL. In hind site, they probably should have kept both Cyr and Bowles and do what the Giants do, alternate their goalies. It isnot such a bad idea. Your second goalie always remains sharp and knows that he will be playing the next night. Unfortunately for White he is off to a poor start. Only 2.5 games in almost 20 games played and who knows when he will see the ice. In my opinion he hasnot been given a fair shake. There have been numerous opportunities to put him in against a weaker club if only to boost his confidence level which appears to be at an all time low. To Cyr's credit he seems to know when to shine, however it appears that he can make mistakes and still play the next game. What's you plan Drew? Maybe get the guys a goalie coach for starters...even the guys in the NHL need some fine tuning. Good Luck! |

It'll be interesting to see if he does. These games mean alot, not just in the standings but in the psyche of our boys. Does that mean you put Cyr in for both, going with you "A" game? I don't think I would, I would start White tonight, give him a legitimate shot at a W. I expect our guys to come out flying after tasting how sweet a hard working victory can be. |

My sentiments exactly. It must be difficult to feel like part of the team when all you ever do is practise. White had a very good season last year with the Vees, but only on 2 occasions was he given the nod on the second night even if he played great the night before. And this was only because Milan was feeling under the weather. Time to give the kid a chance. |

at some point you have to give him a start. I have a hunch we'll see Cyr though. |

I'd start him in Kelowna. They have to break the double header jinx, and better to lose on the road to fans listening on the radio to at home where they've paid 16 bucks. |

No problem with him starting on the road...but why do you assume that they will lose? Some fan you are. |

Rick supports him on this! Oh yeah, the coach doesn't have a say in it! |

Can't really see the point in keeping the kid then... |

Never mind the goalie(s).....what about lack of goals on our part???? With the '"supposed" firepower we have we should be able to put a broomstick between the pipes and still win!! Unfortunately we still gotta give the new coach a shot....only 42 shopping days till Christmas....let's see where we are by then.. | |
