On paper this team looks very good but it lacks heart and brains. Sorry, cougs will win some games but they won't get past the second or probably even the first round (not far enough for a very veteran team that just got older).

The Cougars just keep continuing to suck (two walkouts in the past week or so) while ex-Cougs (ie. Kerr) seem to shine as brightly as the hockey world thought they would once they are out of the cesspool that is the Brodsky organization.

It continues to get repeated time and again, and rightly so, that the mentality and success of the Cougars players and teams will not change until they are run by real hockey people with real hockey contacts and brains.

Brodsky was basically drummed out of Victoria for failing to do anything with his team, and he's done the same ostrich routine here. Every other successful franchise in the WHL creates synergies with NHL scouts, GM's, all-star players, owners, etc. (Think Gordie Howe with the Giants).

Brodsky creates synergies with no one successful in the NHL world...so why the hell would any parent of a young hockey prodigy want to send their son to rot in PG with an owner and a GM with their heads so far up their asses that they couldn't find "success" in dictionary much less on the ice?

It matters not how good these players are "on paper". Until this franchise changes hands to real hockey people...expect continued mediocrity and unfounded hype until Armageddon.

Kerr has 4 points and is a plus 3. Not bad, but hardly a prodigy. This particular trade was not a bad one. You may want to find a better example.

Sitting 3 d-men every night will only get MORE players wanting to walk. Vrana wasn't going to get any ice time this year. Wrong place at the wrong time. Let's see the Euro play with some "highly skilled" (underachieving) forwards and see if he can bring out the best in them. GOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOGS!!!
