Red Sky Vision is producing a series of 1 hour independent documentaries on musical icons and their life behind the lyrics.
Currently in production is one on Pete Doherty and I'm looking to find fans of Pete to be interviewed and appear in the documentary. I'd like to talk to you about gigs you've seen him at, your favourite songs, what the lyrics mean to you etc etc.
The aim of the film is to find out about Pete and uncover the stories behind the music. This is a film for people who appreciate his music.
If you don't fancy being interviewed but would still like to be involved - i'm also on the lookout for any pictures you may have of Pete or any video footage that we may be able to include. If you've taken pics at concerts or got photos with him on the street - whatever, wherever, whenever - please get in touch!
For everybody that submits footage or stills that we use or is interviewed on camera we will credit you on the film and also send you a copy for free on DVD!

I'm happy to take part if you're interested. I don't have any special footage etc to offer, but i do have plenty of opinions! What you may be interested in discovering is the diversity of Pete's/Babyshambles fans, for example; i am a 33year old married mum with 4 girls aged 3, 7, 11 and 13. My 3 year old daughter's favouite song is 'The Blinding' and my 11 year old loves to write lyrics. My 7 year old is very religious, but last night she said to me 'i'm going to do some Pete worship', and promptly put Babyshambles on her stereo. I don't see him as a bad influence, quite the opposite; he encourages debate in our house about both the negative and positive aspects of life- my older girls openly discuss drug use and they are aware of the terrible impact that this has on Pete's life. But also he inspires them with their music- the oldest two play piano and guitar, and they love to write poetry and music. When i was a teenager i loved The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, but nothing musically my entire life has compared to the talent of Babyshambles, The Libertines and in particular the genius of Pete Doherty!

u need to get over it- it's not about the drugs, it's about the music. It doesn't change his talent and genius just because he has a problem with drugs. Any decent, open-minded person knows that. As for my parenting- i'm such a bloody good mother, i certainly don't need to justify myself to u, or any other narrow-minded arse for that matter!
firstly i think its appaling to judge someones parenting skills when you dont no them,secondly addiction is an illness and should not be made a joke of,and finaly just besause a 7 yearold likes pete hardly means he is going to turn into a skag head does it? its more probable as they grow up they will have a better understanding of hard drugs and the terrible effects it can have on a persons life! keeping things hidden from kids makes them all the more inquisitive and probeblys mean they will be more likley to try them not noing thr consiquences! my mates 5 year old sings the libs cant stand me now all the time does that think he is going to turn to drugs too?
thanks 4 that! i can assure u that like any decent mum i want the best 4 my kids. in my book that means being open and honest with them (appropriate to their age). i hope taking this approach i will benefit from their openness and honesty in return. just because i am married, 33, and a mum of 4 doesn't mean i can't still have a good time: one of my ways of doing that is being a babyshambles fan, going to the gigs etc. yes i am a responsible parent, but i am only human and i like to have fun!

i am a mother, my previous post already states that. and yes id love to see the police get involved. id certainly take the time to make a report but that would be for the child services. i bet out of your four girls 3 become addicts..

Hi , have pics , vids etc , Long term fan and happy to help. In ref to the people putting down the 33 yr old with kids for being a fan of Peter, what utter tosh. I am 35 and have children also, My children if anything have seen what a distructive infulance they can have through his behaviour, Its all a learning curve. They dont live wrapped in a bubble and at some point or the other they are going to witness and experiance these things , much better they witness them in a controlled and caring enviroment than out there unmonitored .

Throughout the years there has been many great entertainers who have dealed with drug abuse i grew up listianing to nirvana kurt was a herion addict!!
it has not affected me people need to stop coming on this site if there not a fan and secondly just start enjoying petes music and dont get so wrapped up in his life style!!

LEFTISM - Im only gonna say this once. Your a wanker. Just like the tabloids. And before you say anything, im not a pete lover or hater. I like his music and his lyrics and sometimes him when he's talking and you can tell he's not on drugs. But I also think he can be a complete dick sometimes like when he doesnt show up to tour gigs. It pisses me off aswell paying money for a train and then not even being able to see more than the support bands.
As for that mother your insulting, i know people that grew up in houses where you couldnt talk to your parents about drugs n guess what... he got addicted to drugs. Nobody is going to write that Petes drug taking is a good thing because that was never the arguement here.
The truth is that that the fans who submit their ramblings to this forum do so because we can see that there is more to a person than their drug habits.
There is his talent for a start. This particular topic has got way out of hand. Yes Pete Doherty takes drugs, but that's not what any of his fans are here for.
We like him in spite of that, because some people in the world are open minded enough to appreciate that there is more to a person than the negative side to ones personality that the tabloids portray.
Do you somehow think that by slagging off Pete on here you will manage to turn his fans against him? That wont happen. Do you think you are telling people anything factual that they don't already know? You are not.
You are just causing a lot of negative emotion to be experienced and there is already enough of that in this world, therefore I fail to see what you could possibly gain from what you do.

I expect criticism for 'hero worship' but it's wrong to condemn someone just cos they take drugs.
In response to the idea no one can glorify drugs, I personally don't have any involvment with them, but in this day and age I don't think people should be ostracised from society based on that alone. Look at half the composers and musicians over the last century; many were on drugs but it doesn't mean we shouldn't rever their talent!
