It was a few others that I heard from privately who couldn't figure out what was going on. A couple of them seriously thought you were all holding a costume party. I'm saddened too. Not only did the fun STOP, but because assumptions were made on my motives and reasons for doing what I felt I needed to do, I got flamed.
