I’ve just bought 2 set ROCH and “Legend Of The Condor Heroes” in the Huynh Thuc Khang street as you show me but unlucky they’ve out “Grand Canal”. I don’t want rent it by VHS; I want to got it by VCD for myself. I couldn’t helped wait for some days next. Now I’m watching ROCH, the quality is not very good but OK. I see there’re some songs very good beside “Strong Love…”. Do you know all songs in ROCH? Ex:”Limacsau’song” Do you know it? What’s the title? If you got it please share for me? And Legend Of The CH, OnMyLinh & Huynh NhatHoa play, you like them? Ah you know their English name?

I don't think Co Long watch any series without Idy Chan. For sure, she only saw the LOCH Taiwan version. On My Linh is Barbara Yung and Huynh Nhat Hoa is Felix Wong.

Yes. My list are long, so I just give you my best of the best list. I know you are Viet, so I will try to list the Viet series in which some of them were in just in case you do not know who I am talking about.

For the women, I am a man, so if I listed who I liked, my goodness it will be somewhere in the 100s, haha. So my best of the best top 5 are.

I actually have two lists!!! One is based on attraction, acting, but more concerned on who I am attracted to, cause I am a guy. The second list, is who I like purely based on acting. The first list, sometimes they need to have a good character then I will like them. Like Gigi Lai for example, I will not watch her in Y Thien Do Long Ky 2000!!! So the second list is probably my true who am I a fan of. For the guys, I am not attracted to anyone, so I only have one list, I have to like their acting.

Others I like are Ruby Lin, Huang Yi, Maggie Cheung, Kenix Kwok, Vivian Chow, Vivian Chen, Rebecca Wang, Michelle Mai Suet, Gigi Chiu, Idy Chan. I think Michelle and Gigi Chiu are gorgeous, but because the big age difference, I don't put them in top 5. Idy Chan to me was a goddess. Her beauty in ROCH83 is very hard to beat. But again because of the age difference, she is not on the list.

Of those people, probably Huang Yi has the best chance of making into my top 5 list. But for now, Athena still hold that spot.

My list of favorite actress based purely on acting...

1 Barbara Yung - Anh Hung Xa Dieu 82, So Luu Huong 84, Duong Doi Muon Van Neo
2 Idy Chan - umm, I don't think I need to tell you who this is right? This is her forum after all.
3 Sheren Tang - same as above

I have not seen any bad series of these three yet. I would watch any series that these gals are in.

PS My two favorite actors (Dicky Cheung and Tony Leung) and (Gigi Lai and Shallin Tse) are virtually tied for first place in there respective lists...but I am someone who hates ties. I can't stand it when people are undecisive, so I force myself to choose a first place and second place. So Dicky barely beats out Tony and Gigi barely beats out Shallin.

So in conclusion, favorite actor is Dicky Cheung, favorite actress based on looks and acting is Gigi Lai, and favorite actress based purely on acting is Barbara Yung.

Girlfriend is one thing, idols are another, haha. Plus, I am single, so therefore, they basically can't say anything, cause there is none, haha.

Best for what? Best actor is Dicky. Best actress based on looks and acting is Gigi Lai. Best actress based on acting is Barbara Yung. But if you meant for me to pick just one (male or female) chinese series artist, it would be Dicky Cheung. Seriously, if based on acting alone, there are many guys I like more than Barbara Yung. Cause main guys get the main lead. Like in ROCH, I like YG more than SLL. SLL is gorgeous, but I watch it because YG is a good character. Cause he is the main character. Same thing with Grand Canal, CSL is the main character. So for actors, I can watch ANY series of theirs, even if they are paired up with a nonattractive actress. But if I watch a series of an actress, they better be paired up with a decent actor. So in closing, Dicky Cheung is my favorite chinese series artist.

Yes, I am interested in Kim Dung's novels. I like a lot of the series that they adapted from his novels. Are you good with English? If you can read it with ease, I suggest you go to www.spcnet.tv and there is a wuxia translation there. Wuxia means "Vo hiep" in Viet. Many people have translated some of Kim Dung as well as Co Long (Gu Long) stories into English.

Hello Jasmine, I wish I can write well in Viet, but I was born and raised in California, so I only had one year learning to write Vietnamese in Sunday school. This is my best of trying to write in Vietnamese ok, haha. Be aware I might mix my x with s, and tr with ch, I hope its not that bad though. But I am learning. At least I understand 95 percent of what Minh Triet, My La, you, and Co Long talking in the tagboards.

Anh biet noi tieng Viet it (little) lam. Anh biet noi nhieu nhung ma khong biet danh van nhieu. Anh hoc o truong Viet Ngu mot nam thoi. Co the noi, tai vi anh thit (like) coi phim tau/tao (chinese) nhat la phim truong, cho/tro (therefore) nen anh moi noi duoc tieng Viet nhieu hon may nguoi o My suot cuoc doi.

Ten Viet cua Legend of the White Haired Maiden la "Bach Phat Ma Nu". Jasmine co coi (watch) Bach Phat Ma Nu lan nao chua? CO mot nguoi con gai ten le Faerie Queene o forum cua wuxia (vo hiep) o cinple.net. Co do dan (translate) cau chuyen (story) cua Bach Phat Ma Nu. Bach Phat Ma Nu da ra nhieu adaptation loi/roi (already). Co mot cai la cua (Timmy Ho) voi Ada Choi (Thai Thieu Phan). Mot cai nua la Truong Tri Lam va Shui Ling. Neu Jasmine co ranh (free time), Jasmine co the doc chuyen cua Bach Phat Ma Nu.

Bach Phat Ma Nu doi voi anh thi vo cong khong co kem bang Tieu Long Nu. Nhung ma cung khong co the so sanh (compare) tai vi Bach Phat Ma Nu la cau chuyen cua nguoi khac/khat, cho/tro khong phai la cua Kim Dung.

See, terrible in Vietnamese standards, but ok for a Viet who only learned one year right?

Legend of the White Haired Maiden. If you would like to talk more about wuxia novels (chuyen vo hiep), there is a forum in cinple.net that has a wuxia forum. As long as you have any questions, they can answer you. They love Kim Dung novels. But they don't like Duong Qua and Tieu Long Nu, haha. Don't ask me why though.

Have you been to vietkiem.com yet? They have a lot of wuxia novels translated to Viet, but I read some parts, and the language seems kind of old.

Ah, by Vietnamese you shouldn’t use p-pronoun “anh” in sentence because maybe the partner older than you, you use “toi” is OK, when you know exactly who is the partner then it’s up to you, you can use “anh, em, chu …” If your old the same with Long Nhi’ old, you’re smaller than me 1 year you must write “em” and call me “chi”.
Dung co thay Minh Triet noi chuyen voi My La “anh anh, em em” ma bat chuoc do nha . U understand this sentence?

Yeah, I know it much much better than reading it. It is an adventure sometimes when I try to read just ten pages of Vietnamese translated wuxia novels. The funny thing is I don't look Viet at all. I am much bigger than most Viets. If I was in Vietnam, the people will not accept me. Probably get teased at all day. Anyhow, at school I rarely talk Vietnamese. And I DO mean very rare. And kids would talk bad about me all the time during PE. You know, call me names. And at the end of the year, some guy talked to me, and just for the heck of it, I responded in Viet. Needless to say, everyone was shocked. No one dare to speak another word. They can not believe I knew Viet. Occasionally, I still do the same thing up to this day.

As for me, I do not like SLN and YG love story. SLN and YG I do not like very much either. But, it is a good thing Idy played SLN and Andy played YG, if not, I would really dislike their character even more. Chau Ba Thong is one of my favorite characters EVER.

Hi Vy,

Glad to see you having some free time to post here. I bet a lot of people miss ya over at Kitty Lai forum. How is school going with you?

You know what Vy, you know how I said before the reason why I liked Sheren over Kitty in HSDS was one part that I thought Sheren looks much more beautiful then someone who dressed up as a guy.

I think I might have to stop using that as one of my excuses. BECAUSE in Two Honorable Knights, I thought Kitty looked nice as a guy, haha.

Yeah, but just like in posting, I rarely speak Vietnamese in real life. Just to the close people like family. My Viet and English interact with each other. I have a dad who is Nam and a Mom who is Bac, so my Nam and Bac interact with each other as well, haha.

Nah, I'm just a member at the Kitty's board, so I'm no one special. Beside, since Kitty is not acting anymore, it is bound to be slow and quiet compare to other boards.

Yeah, I don't speak Vietnamese daily, except I'm at home. But, I think it's important to learn your country's language. So, I speak Vietnamese with all of my relatives when I can. I can understand most of the conversation that the grown-ups are having. I heard she will star in new series with Adam Cheng and Tavia Yeung. She had her concert in Reno on Feb 12. One of my friends went and got me live update via cell phone, haha.

I don't know, haha. All I know it seems her and Gigi still have their problems. As a fan of both, that just shucks.

Wow, I thought all that reports on the friction between Sheren and Gigi were just rumors and gossips. I guess those reports are so farfetched afterall. That is quite sad. Well, I hope they will able to resolve any misunderstanding or conflict that they had. It's best to have mutual contacts when it comes to celebrity acquaintances.

Umm, this is what I know...

Please any Viet misspellings I make.

Nam De Bac Cai is one of TVB's supposed "prequel" as you will for Legend of the Condor Heroes. I call supposed because there was no written novel on it, the TVB simply decide to make a series on the 5 Greats in LOCH and how they came about. There were 3 series made. Mystery of the Condor (Cuu Am Chan Kinh), Rage and Passion (Vuong Trung Duong) and Condor Heroes Return (Nam De Bac Cai).

Cuu Am Chan Kinh is about Dong Ta and Tay Doc. Vuong Trung Duong is about Vuong Trung Duong and Lam Trieu Anh. Nam De Bac Cai is well duh, Nam De and Bac Cai.

Note: Condor Heroes Return is not the same as Return of the Condor Heroes ok.

Nam De Bac Cai just simply makes up a story on how they became greats. Ekin Cheng plays Nam De and Marco Ngai plays Bac Cai. Wayne Lai plays Chau Ba Thong.

You see Hong 7 Cong when he is young and how he became leader of Beggar Union. And Nam De Doan something become king, Chau Ba Thong having affair with the queen, and Nam De turning into a monk.

Basically the three series are to answer some people's questions on how the LOCH greats started out. It is just a TVB creation, but at least some version is better than no version.

Vo Lam Ngu Ba is virtually the same thing as Anh Hung Xa Dieu or known as LOCH TW to me in English.

This series is very rare, and I guarantee you most people who watched this is only because Idy Chan was in it, if not, no one would have any clue about this series.

When I first watched VLNB I thought it was a prequel too, but it turns out, VLNB is just Anh Hung Xa Dieu, but they added a few episodes at the beginning. VLNB directors decided to write about how the LOCH greats started out. This too was their own imagination. In the novel, they never ever have anything on the greats when they were young. VLNB directors added the beginning of VLNB in. If you take that out, what is left is basically Anh Hung Xa Dieu being shown in a Taiwan production.

The others I mentioned were created in 1994 around there. It was dedicated to the Greats only. But in VLNB, you have like two tapes of the Greats, and then the rest is the story of Anh Hung Xa Dieu.

There is one with Ada Choi and Timmy Ho. Her name is Thai Thieu Phan.

Another one is Shui Ling and Julian Cheung (Truong Tri Lam)

Another one is Savio Tsang and David Siu/Chiang.

Do you know what year is the series you saw around?

Ada is in 93-95 or so
Shui is in 98-00 or so
Savio is around 1980ish

Have you seen the girl in any other series?

Let me introduce myself. Well don't know how and there is nothing much to say except that I like Idy too.

I first watched her on the GC in VN 13 years ago and fall in love with her since then. Don't take me wrong I mean "admire her since then" :->. Then I stopped to watch Chinese movies for a while because I was so busy with school... I started to watch GC again and I still love the Princess Lan Linh.

Thanks to this website and others I can find more movie and info about Idy.

I hope to have chance to chat more about our favorite actress and her movies with all of you.

So tell me how many Idy series that you have seen?? Im so lucky that i got to see most of idy old series from a good fan. She lended me almost of her idy collections so i can catch up with all idy series see how good of this fan

Thats why i got to see most of Idy series just like many idy's formal fans. I'd like to recommend you to watch The Brave Squad. Idy and Kent made cute couple in here. I love this modern series a lot b/c it concentrated on Idy the most. Idy again is like a brave YLL in here hihihi...

I have tried some other Idy's movies but so far I haven't found one that can beat GC hi hi hi. Princess LL is the best. This may change after I finish "Vo Lam Ngu Ba" ????.

I tried Thap Tam Thai Bao and Hao Mon, only on few DVDs. The acting on these movies is not good. I will see if I can find the movie that you recomend. The problem is there are only 2 places that i can rent Chinese movies in my town and they have a very limit number of the old movies. I don't like the new series :->.

Do you have any plan for Xmas and New Year?

Oh really? her acting in Hao Mon and Thap Tam Thai Bao weren't good ?? i think each character has it own technique so it's hard to say this one is better than other. Perhaps, we like the YLL character more so its obviously we think that she did good job in YLL more than her other roles. However, to em thi i like all of her roles, b/c each of her roles show me that she is indeed a talent actress. She can play any role which is not so many actresses can do it. It's not that im biased, but i've seen most of her series and i find each of her role are good in their own way.

I agree w/u b/c in Hao Mon and Thap Tam Thai Bao, they didnt focus much on her and so Idy didnt have much screen time for us to watch :P which is noooooooo good lol . However, she still do good in her perfomance. Hmmm... looks like none of her role can beat YLL in Ty Ty rui` hihih...

Umm.. Ty Ty co coi Nhan Vat Phong Van chua? Idy is so pretty in there. Watch it when you have a chance ok? The only thing i dont like this series is her role is pretty much similar to her role in Hao Mon. They dont focus on here much thats sad . But it's good storyline though

On the contrary, I liked her character "Princess Van La" a lot. She is so spoiled and cute. Of course, Princess YLL is probably better than her, but also Grand Canal as a whole is better than Wild Bunch. Wild Bunch plot was pathetic, two old dudes fighting over some lady, and the lady is not even pretty. Go get the lady who played Ly Mat Sau or something to play this woman. I mean if Felix or Idy was not in here, I think this series is trash.

lol, u know that old woman is always played WYY's mother in DGSD82. I dont really like her lol but still better than Carman's WYY's mother hahhahaa...

I like van la princess a lot too. She's cute, witty, but not smart compared to YLL :P lol. However, it think she is cutter than YLL :D that's tied :P .

I think Princess Van La is just a cute little girl. YLL is more mature and has a very strong personality...If YLL's character likes Van La I don't think Cau Duong Khach fell in love with her.

E. b/c i remembered last time i get to know one fan and suddenly he told me that he had seen Idy in person many times and even play a Mah Jong (chinese game) with her. Not enough, he talked to her and he met her quite a lot back in the 80's. He knew her husband and knew when they were separated. He told me the very last time he saw Idy, Chow, Chow's wife and the guy played Wach Fu husband in roch83 at Idy's husband place for some party. Idy looked very beautiful as always and thin. oh wow, i didnt know that she was dated to David a group of Evanesence. I like some songs of Evanesence too she's rock. Perhaps, you're right that i prob listened to those songs above on Radio, but i didnt pay attention much. But i will dl them tonight at home since i dont have speakers at work . Do you have something like mp3 so i can burn to cd to listen in my car??

Umm have i told u that i like Britney Spears yet? guess not huh? Yah i like her since her fist album released. Britney doesn't have strong voice like Chris or Kelly, but her voice is cute. I want to see her concert in SJ a year half ago, i must say it is a great concert i ever seen in my life. I love to go to see American concert more than vietnamese b/c they are soooo good. Have u ever been to Kelly's concert yet? u should if there is chance. Im sure u will have a great time .

I feel kinda disappointed that Britney got married and even have kid now. Married and have kid, i have no problem with that just b/c i see her future is still bright, why she chose to this road so early u know what i mean? She still have plenty of time, lets just concentrate on her career first b/c it's not easy to keep her image top while many good singers out there. After her broke up with Justin, her life seem to change a lot. What a pity couple, thought they well match. Oh my, not even mention that Kevin is already have kids, oh gosh this is her fate or what lol.

Beside Brit, I like Jessica Simpson a lot. I like her voice more than Brit, but i like Brit image more than Jess. I dont listen to Kelly music much. But since you recommend some of her good songs, i'll try to see if i can tast her music :D . I think you have heard " I wanna Love you forever " of Jess right? oh my, i love that song very much.

I listen to American musics a lot but not American Idols though. Kelly, Justin, Clay, Rubin, and the new black lady?? but i think Kelly has more potential to be a good singer. Also, Christina wrote a Independence song for Kelly to sing too right? Man, that song Kelly sings like Christina I almost cant recognize her voice.

I love to watch American Idol show, and MTV esp the dance competiton dont know if it's still broadcast it. I love that show a lot, many ppl dance so good and pro. I like Fear Factor too. Decoration channels, not shopping lol. Some reality shows. But my most favorite is music channels. Do u like country music too? I do. But depends on the songs. I only like good songs lol. I like Faith Hill, Shania Twain?? spelling, Jewl. Oh, do u like rock music? I like Linking Park. Arrgg, i dont like Beyonce.

You thought you were one of those who didn't listen to American music. I listen to all sorts of music. Music is my life, man...lol. However, I'm very critical of my music selection. I only buy albums that I know for sure, I will like. Which is a bad, b/c I don't take too much risks. But you see, I'm not wealthy...so, got to spend my money wisely. Still, I listen to a variety of music on the radio.

Oh yeah, I have Britney's first album. Most of the songs in that album are very sugar pop. One of the songs I like is Email My Heart, a very sweet song. Back then, BSB was my favorite group, not NSYNC though. If you listen to their albums, 80% of the songs in their albums are chart-hitting songs. After that, I got into Mariah Carey's music. Just love her pre-diva music phase. After she divorced her husband and went to a direction in music, her music went downhill. Then, Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton got into the picture. They both have amazing voices and awesome radio hits. And another person who has those qualities as Whitney and Toni is Celine Dion. Man, I used to listen to Celine all day and would not get bored. For male artists, I liked Babyface because has mad talent in writing songs and has a very soft voice. But, he sort of stop writing, singing, and producing. Oh nevermind, he produces some songs for Kelly on her first album.

For today's music on the radio, I like Faith Hill, Shania Twain, No Doubt, Maroon 5, Linkin Park (although they don't their songs very much on the radio anymore), Ryan Cabrera, and many more that I can't remember at this moment.

About Jessica Simpson, I love her first released song, it was very powerful. But man, you should see her sings on TV and live shows, she bobbles her head so much that it makes the audience dizzy...lol. Her MTV show is hecka funny though. She knows how to make a fool out of herself. I love her tuna and buffalo comments!!

Speaking of my ultimate artist/singer, it has got to be Kelly Clarkson. If you watch her from the beginning of the American Idol till now, then you can't help it but fall in love with her. She is one of the most genuine people out there. She doesn't act any pop princesses. She doesn't try to hide her past and weaknesses. She embraces everything in life. She listens to all genres of music and she can sing them all. She never badmouth another celebrity, only to praise them. And her voice, it captivates me like no others. She can speak 24/7 because she is just an unbelievable person and singer. Not only that, she tries to write her own songs, and being good at it. She is an all around musician.

wow, so he used PS7 ho? hmm i bet he must spent a lot of time to read the ps7 book. Despite he did read it or not, i have to say he is sooooo good in graphics design :D .

Believe it or not, since i got the ps7 to now, i just learn how to do wp by myself. Well, actually at first i did ask for help how to do the cut and paste thing, and after that i just play around w/it. I dont have book or anything but just endure and figure how it works lol. Everytime i figure out something new, im so happy. Now i can see the different b/w my first one and my recent ones :P after 9 months played around with this software. Hopefully i can do something looks similar to Rob's work in the future :P . Thanks Vy for the info. It'd be nice if he can show me some tricks . Oh do u think hes willing to do that? if he can, can you ask him for permission to give me his email addy so i can contact him?? thanks girl

Well, some of them are quite good actually. It's still depending on the script and the character however. I try not to compare the newbie to the oldie. I love the character Ngoc Chi in Twin of Brothers. Li Qian is great considering she is only 19, I believe. I always like Ray ever since I first saw him in A Step in the Past.

I don't have any particular ranking for the ladies. Like I said before, it depends on the character(s) that they portray. Idy and Kitty are up there (you know the reason lol.) For the gentlemen, Tony and Felix by far ahead anybody else on my list. I still have not coming across any character which they portrayed that I don't like. Maybe I'm too bias kekeke. Someday, I wish I can have all of their series for my collection *tam ca is dreaming here lol.*

I stop by this forum pretty often actually. Just too lazy to post . Also, ever since that unfortunate incident at Idy's forum awhile back, I kind of lose my interest in posting a little bit. Anyway, let's me go back to try to figure out which one is the evil one kekeke.

We are talking about the same series: A Step into the Past. However, what do you mean? Ray plays Trieu Bang/Minh Chanh who becomes the King. In a way he is one of the main characters in there also.

Haha, I know that number one on your list is Idy, but do you like any newbies? Anyway, there are a few things that I don't like about new ancient series. First, the costumes are mostly weird to me. Secondly, there are too much computer effects. I was dizzy at every fighting scenes in TOB lol.

Well, did you forget the promise that Tam Ca made to LSM? That Truong Tam Lang would not return to Trung Nguyen kekeke? Kidding aside, I don't think that I will go back this Christmas holiday. We are not really into it. We almost always get together on Chinese New Year though, so that is when I'm heading back.

Skiing sounds great although I can do without the snow. It's beautiful but also a pain to drive in. Isn't that true with everything's beautiful kekeke? Btw, both sweet twin does not exist. It has to be one good and one bad to balance out . Thank in advance for the stones and the pics sis.

p.s: where is everybody lately? Finals, maybe?

No, I haven't been back there. I do have some aunts and uncles there however. And I don't really know what you meant with the guy thing . There are a couple places that I want to visit someday such as HK and Australia. VN is not high on my list.

My next trip that i've dream for so long is HK, Thailands, Canada, and Austraulia. I wish i can go to Canada to visit my friend but have not have a chance yet .

LOL, since when Tam Ca is being so innocent and pure hahhahaha dont tell me u just graduated from Rocn class hahaha which seem never happens to me kekekeke.. What i meant by those guys like to go back to VN b/c viet girls overthere are pretty wild. U know, i was so surprised to hear this word from my neighbor friend in VN. She told me that it's not only her had that kind of thinking, but a lot of girls overthere now is like her too. honestly Red Lanterns Hang High is not that good. Idy character in here is very pitiful plus they dont focus on her much. Its ok to watch but i dont really enjoy this serial. Actually i did tried to draw YLL once but haven't get it done yet. Gosh, dont know what happen to me lately that i am being lazy and didnt even touch my comp when i got home. Um.. i really want to know you guys like ur idol as any role or just some good roles only. For example: If Idy plays as Ly Suong Nhi in The Grand Canal and someone else plays Duong Lang Ling, do you still like Idy's LSN? We know that DLL character is good and has Idy plays it just like an ice on the cake. But if Idy plays LSN do u still prefer YLL over LSN? as for me it's really simple, i still stick w/Idy. LOL, im biased u know hahah

For Vy, if Kitty plays CCY, do u still prefer CCY over CM? Lets see if Vy likes the character itself or like her idol hihih...

I see many of you including me start to like ur idol since you first watch him/her in good roles. What if after that, do u still like her/him in any roles or you just prefer to see her/him in good role only? It's more challenge to see our idol play more different roles. Like, evil, villain, stubborn. I've seen my idol played as an evil role already, still didnt affect my love and admirations for her. But some other fans prefer the good roles only. Just like CCY role, we know that is villain role. If there is no villain role, there definitely no good role agree? So if you love ur idol, whatever role she plays, u still like it anyhow right? I want to know how many of you here is like me.

That's why i once said i still Like CCY if Idy plays it :P . But if someone else then sorry i will go for CM lol hahahah.. Geeze i see CM vs CCY topic keep going on and on lol .. guess b/c of felix hahhah..

Umm...I don't know.

I don't think I can answer your question because I enjoy Kitty in different way, not just as an actress. I respect her as a person very much. She inspires me to be a better person. Also, I know that there are more actresses who are better than Kitty. So, elevating Kitty's acting ability is too biased for me. I have to be fair. To be honest, I think Sheren makes a great CCY. her portrayal is the most memorable. Therefore, I don't see another actress portraying that role.

Right now in my life, I'm a fan of Kitty Lai, the person, not the actress. Furthermore, I don't neccesarily wants to create drama between different fanbases, so I don't want others to uncomfortable with someone whom they don't necessary are a fan of.

I guess I was not too clear. I do like Kitty's acting, that was how I got to like her in the first place. From there, I learned about her personal attributes through various sources. It was her journey in life, i.e. struggle & sucess that intrigues me. When I'm a fan of a celebrity, I usually focus more on the behavioral aspect of that person than the talent. However, the talent must be part of the factor as well. Most of my favorite celebrities are very humble. Being humble is the key element for me.

Anyway, I agree with you that every single celebrity deserves some sort of privacy, famous or not. That is why I don't like to read gossips about my favorite celebrities. I only read information that is legit or reliable.

Does that mean you like Charmaine Emmy? Are you just biased towards Sheren's CCY? How do you feel about the other HSDS? Or have you only seen HSDS86? For me, if I never saw HSDS86, I think I would have preferred CM, cause I like most of the other actresses who played CM more than CCY. Oh no, don't even ask about the new girl who played CM in HSDS new version. She was stupid. I hate CM role and more than that I hate the new girl played that role even more.

But I like Charmanine who played CCY that why since that series I start to like CHarmanie too....hehehe.

Charmaine is okay for CCY. I like her, but not as much as I like Sheren. Summary, I like CCY role and both sheren and charmaine are great. Oppposite, I hate CM role and I hate "new" CM. Honestly, I thinki Kitty played that role better.

Umm btw, Emmy and Felix. Since you both like Sheren, i guess you guys have seen most of her series right? I remember i once watched Sheren series but i forgot the title. However, i still remember the storyline a little bit. It's talking about the 4 sisters. Each person has it own sad life. That series is very sad Modern story. One more thing make me love this series b/c they have many good songs in there. Each girl have her own song and all of the songs are very good.

I think the Korean is remake this series and named as " 4 Sisters " Bon Chi em Han Quoc. There is also Chae Rim in there whom I like too lol .

Thanks for your understanding on the Kitty issue. I know it was not my fault, but I did not want to see someone not go to the forum anymore, just because of something I posted. But like I said, I believed I did not do anything wrong. I posted the topic in Old TVB Forum, I did not post it in Kitty's forum. If I posted that q in Kitty forum, and I have Tony and Sheren as number one on the list, then I can understand the resentment. It's as stupid as going to Miu's forum, and say my fave pair is Felix and Barbara.

Don't worry, I never would bash Kitty Lai fans or Kitty Lai (if I disliked her, which I don't). If I do not like Kitty, I will not talk bad about her, I shall choose to not discuss her. Talking bad about artists you don't like is a waste of time.

I totally understand how you feel. Doing what you did shows a lot about your character. Not many people would care if their opinions offended others. By choosing to explain your opinion, you acknowledge the feelings of other people. To me, that's very mature and respectful of you.
I didn't want to say this over at the Kitty's forum, but the original post of that topic was just unnecessary. In any forums, it's best not to have too much drama. It's okay to have different opinions, but when taking other people's opinions/ideas/philosophies and exaggerated the intent is just not right. Yes, I thought so too. I thought it was weird I would be mention in a forum I do not go to. I wished the girl would at least tell it to me in OCS forum so I have a chance to explain. Instead, she calls me stupid, for what too, for disliking CM?

Like you said, she twisted my intent. I liked Tony and Sheren together, because I DO like them together. That was in no way to offend the Kitty Lai fans. If I wanted to, I can say I like Tony Leung and Sheren Tang because Kitty is stupid. But I did not mention ANYTHING of Kitty. it's too crowd down there and i personally dont like a crowded place. Although in SJ is quite crowded too but i dont go out that much. What i do is stay home when i got a day off, clean the house or go to supermarket and stay home make some favor dishes ^_____^ . Sometime i went to Lion Plaza to buy some che` cuz i love che` at Hien Khanh' i think in LA they have the franchise too. I've visited LA many times, still dont like the lifestyle down there. Maybe b/c i get used to live in SJ since i first came to America hihihi.. so it will take awhile for me to adapt to a new place if i really have to move hihih...

That's why i dont have much friends cuz whenever they ask me to go out w/them i refused them hahahah so i chased them away hahhaah. Believe it or not i have more net friends than in real life. All of my friends before i chased them run away from me, they all said my life is boring hahahha but i dont see it boring as they said. Instead i really enjoy of my lifestyle now. I worked 5 days already, so i deserved to have 2 days off to stay home and relax. If i feel bore, i will play w/computer or rewatch some my baby Idy movies. My husband's life is more busier than me. He had school and work at same time. He would love to have free time so he can get more sleep lol . So why should i wasting my time to hang out but not to stay home and relax lol .

Once a while me and my best friend just meet and we both go have some pearl tea drink and come to my house watch some movies, i feel so good hihih... that is a friendship i'm looking for. I dont like friends just ask me to go out w/them and they never understand for me b/c im married and i have to think for my husband too u know. I cant have fun for my own while my husband is at work or study. Im not that type. LOL, that's why all my friends stop calling me now hahahah.. but that's ok. I need a friend who can understand me. Im glad that i still have one left and hope we can treasure our friendship as long as we can

geeze, what's wrong w/me today. I didn't realize that i type that long hahahh... sorry for the long nonsense post hahaha..

It would be nice if we can exchange our lives stuffs if we can.

For Kitty's pairing, I think it was wonderful that Kitty paired up with Alex Fong. I haven't seen any of his series before seeing "Before Dawn," and I think he was good in that series. He's a great actor.

Well, I went to see my uncle/aunt in a different city for 2 days. I took the coach bus to get there. During the ride to their home, I got reflect the situations in my life and how I should face them. Also, the sceneries during the way of the trip was very soothing for me.

Tony is right up there with Alex for the favorite male costar. But, for some reason, Kitty and Alex both acted and looked real good together in "Before Dawn".

That's cool that Idy has worked with 4 or 5 Tigers. I think Kitty worked with all of them except for Kent. I think Kitty did a music video with Andy a long time ago if I'm not mistaken. I might be wrong though. My memory has been fuzzy lately.

Beside Kitty, I don't have another favorite actress. Since you mentioned Vivian Leung, I think she is cute. She is also Kitty's friend. But if I have to choose, then I would say Sheren because she is a very talented actress. If I get to see Idy's series one day, then I'll add her to my list.

I hope u will add Idy in your list too. Roch and GC i recommended hihihi.... After you have seen these 2 series, you will see Idy is a very talented actress. B/c both characters are totally different. SLL is sweet, innocent and pure while YLL is wick, intelligent and strong personality. Shes sooooooo gooooood. ok enough lol.

4 out of 5 tigers, idy worked with Kent the most. With Tony, only in GC,and Andy only in Roch, and Felix in the Wild Bunch but Kent is a lot.

Thats nice to hear Kitty worked with Andy in his video thing.. can Kitty sing? is she sings good?

I always like the voice of YLL and CM. The person who did those dubbings is good. She puts emotions into the voice/characters. Beside, it's nice a break from all those annoying dubbings from the people of the mid region of Vietnam. I can't stand hearing those voices.

Yes, it would be very great if Idy came back to the show biz. She would get a lot recognition if she did. For me, I like Kitty being off the show biz. There are still people who are bitter about some of her weak roles and a few others, so it's best to stay away from the criticisms. I mean it's not really her fault that she had to put up with all those passive characters. If she refused to take them, then TVB would freeze her. Then, she won't be in many series anymore and not make as much money as before. So, it's a lose-lose situation if she decline those roles. Besides, Kitty is happy with life now, no need to disturb the peaceful environment that she has now.

Exactly ! Although i miss Idy and really want to see her back on screen again, but in other hand i dont want to see her in a stupid role or the script aren't good for her just like some other vetaran actors whom came back to act as a support roles for those newbies ill yikes... Im more happy to see Idy like this just that i hope to see some news about her that's it.

Im not fan of Kitty but i have to say her acting skill are very good. I dont know what others criticisms about her, but to me i appreciated her work and admired her talent. Everyone is different we cant say !

I always wish that TVB will invite all the 80's vetaran stars for reunion and do the celebrity shows and im sure lots of fans will buy it if they release that show in dvd. It is always nice to see all of them together and do some kind of activity like game, or challenging ect.. u know.. Idy and Kitty will be in the same team hihihi... nice huh?

It would be very cool if TVB does a Golden 80s Reunion Show. I'm sure it would attract a lot of viewers. I like your suggestion that TVB should release in DVD format so fans from overseas can buy it.

Well, you know that everyone has a different taste in liking an artist or actor. In correlation, a celebrity cannot please all the fans. That's life.

Speaking veteran actors/actresses coming back to work for TVB. Look at Maggie Siu. She was in her prime in 90s. The most favorite actress in early 90s. And now, she has to be supporting actress in most the series. It is such a shame.

The director praises Faye Wong and bets her chances of winning Best Actress are high. "Faye is a gifted actress. Even though she always says she's a better singer than an actress, she is really talented. She also gets into her role easily and her technique is natural. If she puts more time into movies, she will find lots of success...Actors who played in this film have high standards. If any of them win an award for this movie, I won't be surprised. Especially Faye. Besides Tony, she suffered the most so she should win."

He is such a great actor. Honestly before i dont really recongnize his work, but recently i watched more his work, i have to say his acting is superb . He is so adorable in HSDS and so hero in GC .

sorry to disappoint you that this isnt my work . However, in the future u will see my work up here i promise . Im currently working on it but it will take a while for me to do since i'm still in a process of learning . I love to do something like this, and i'll try to spend more time to make it .
