Regarding Handy's "rubbery feeling" which he said
was a necessary component of hitting the ball straight
and was accomplished by "flinging" the clubhead behind
you while simultaneously beginning the downswing.
I find that when (using Blake's stance) I start the backswing
slowly with no wrist break and then at just past hip
height I speed the clubhead considerably with wrist cocking
and simultaneously start my hips back counter-clockwise
that I can much more consistently get the swingrite to
click and click in the right place. I can thereby somewhat relate
to Handy's "rubbery feeling".
Whether this will relate to better play I have no idea.
I'll have a go at it. |
