You're (almost certainly) correct. Still, even match play scores might be interesting. Have you ever seen, among competitively-matched opponents, a lopsided score such as 10 up (with 8 to play)? My guess is that Mindy would have been a "par machine" not a "birdie machine," but that's just speculation. I wonder if he was using his reflex swing in 1963. Ten years later, when Blake was 60 years old, and I first watched him swing, impact sound and rocketing ball flight were phenomenal. Jim
