I would be quite pleased with your 135 yard "misses." Your 250 to 270 yard drives would please me immensely if decently straight. Were you happy with their straightness? Blake lined up with clubhead inside the ball until he adopted his open stance. After that he said he lined up with clubhead directly behind the ball. Richard Wax appears to line up his driver clubhead just inside the ball. One aspect of the finish depicted on GTTB cover was not a Blake characteristic. He didn't finish with trail foot up on high tiptoe--it was more like figure 32 of GSOTF or figure 21 of GTTB. However, just to confuse things a bit, a photo in the 1975 Golf World discussion article (see forum photo album) shows his club (an iron) back over his shoulders at finish. Also, on the previous page of same article (also in our photo album, with an iron) shows him in a quite flat, almost "laid off" top of backswing position. Camera angle of the last mentioned photo may be misleading. Jim
