Had a great ballstriking day today with one
swing thought. Let the blade of the club stick
up over the plane of the swing like a fin
throughout the swing. 39, 43. Blake stance.
Now if I could just putt.
You wrote: "Let the blade of the club stick up over the plane of the swing like a fin throughout the swing." I'm not sure what you mean by the words 'over the plane'. Is the blade of the club not 'in the plane'? Is the significance of this that it gives you a feeling of 'squareness' throughout? SD
It's just imagery and I don't get too technical with it.
Basically, I make myself aware of the path of the tip of
the shaft and try to feel the blade at right angles to
that path, "sticking up like a fin". It allows me to
take emphasis off of hand manipulations.
