Back to the range for a new season of Mindy pleasure! Still hitting the ball purely and yesterday I was focussed on pushing the hands away at the start of the backswing then pulling them towards me on the downswing. The results were terrific! No effort and pure ball impact with strong feeling of drag over the ball.
Mindy's theory of centripetal force being more reliable than centrifugal is 100% correct. Here's me, an old geezer of nearly 66 years of age (!) and I feel so powerful when in the correct address position and cranked up with inner energy just by rotating my shoulders into a square position...
the very idea of standing "square" fills me with revulsion at the loss of power which would result!
I'll try to remain more present on the site and contribute more than last year when I was travelling more than I expect to do this year.
Very pleased to hear from you. You wrote last year that you were drawing rather than fading your drives. Do you notice drawing only with woods or with irons as well? Do you use drawing to curve certain shots or do you still rely on hitting the ball dead straight? Are your drives still in the range of 240 yards or are you now hitting it longer than that? Is the golf resort in Israel now open?
Now 66 and still enjoying Mindy's method I would even say more than ever! My Callaway driver with the draw effect has corrected a slight tendency to fade off the tee. I'm still not missing any fairways and in my role as course rater this is most helpful.
It never occurs to me as to how I'm going to play. I know precisely the type of shots I'll be playing and whereas some might say that this makes the game too predictable, I would reply that it makes it far more enjoyable.
Snakedoc asked me about Israel and yes the new Pete Dye course is in play. we have the formal Inauguration of 5th July and I'm looking forward to attending.
I'm due to be in Denmark in a couple of weeks and will ask my friend there to film my swing for the Forum.
