I have a gbox sitting behing an FJ20 with 200 +KW for sale.
Ratios 1-2.270,2-1.601,3-1.240,4-1.000,5-0.860 i am told that it has hollingers internals very noisy but very strong used for rally.
I need to change gbox because I have a new diff with different ratio hence the reason for the sale.
$2400 not negotiable

You may be able to buy an RB25 gearbox, or any of the other boxes mentioned, but they all have the same crappy ratios. Look at the ratios in the one on offer. It is a ripper of a close-ratio box. A Holinger 3-gear, I think.
That is a fair price for a box of that quality. I would love to buy it.
Hey Nick, what ratio did you put in the car? Are you selling the one that was in it?
BTW, good to see that you had a run last weekend...

Maybe a rally forum would be a better place to sell that gearbox. They would know what it costs to build such a box. People on this forum dont seem to know what its worth.
The gearset alone would be over $6,000 new minimum if its from one of the local manufacturers. If its a genuine Holinger set, then it would be worth maybe double that much or more new.
If you can put together a good strong straight cut synchro gearbox for under about $8,000 new you are doing really well. Dog boxes cost even more.
$2,400 sounds quite reasonable if the internals are in good nick. If they are damaged, its worth nothing because it will cost you a lot more than the asking price to fix it.
