Response to The first days after Cao's death.

about attacking the east but instead attack west, you cause the enemy's forces not to know where to prepare their defenses. therefore the location you attack will inevitably be undefended." ~One Hundred Unorthodox Strategies

*Cao Cao was both satisfied, and curious, when he got word of the massive movement of troops towards his southern border. There could only be 4 reasons for that. The first is suspicion of his ally in Sunji. The second is hostility towards Boaam. the third, was to reinforce his ally should boaam prove a threat. The fourth, was that he intended to attack sunji, whilst the army in place was only a nominal one of 5,000 cavalry. Of those four options, the most likely were the second and third. And so he sent warm greetings back and a caution that boaam had scores to settle from the last conflict, and not to leave the border there unguarded. Probably unnecessary cautions, but better to say it than to not.
