| Missive to the Setrus League, Stymese Intent made clearNovember 7 2001 at 2:13 PM No score for this post | Khan Vin Kilvenu (no login) | |
| When word of the Setrians' unwise intervention in his cousin's feud with the Chulomese, the youthful but militaristic Khan of Stym, Vin Kilvenu, holds council within the his palace in the capitol of his country. The capitol was known as the City of the Black Forests, and was set amidst frost-infested woodlands and rocky hillocks. Vin Kilvenu, himself, takes a walk in his gardens to enjoy the biting morning air and to study his blades and practice his archery. After the wargames are finished, he holds a council and promptly makes preparations to show full Stymese support for Boaam.
The first letter is sent to the Setrian council. Barbarian upstarts playing at this continent's ancient games? So be it. The Dynasty of Unchanging Death would see to it that the learned their first lesson promptly.
To the Council of the Setrus League,
Your actions of aggression against Boaam are contemptible. Let it be known that the Kingdom of Stym fully condemns your attack against their harbours and that I will not make use of subtlety in dealing with your upstart navy.
Because I am going to crush you.
Please do not insult me by trying to plea or bargain your way out of this, merchants. You have made this a matter of war, and by means of war it will be settled.
To avoid your most assured overthrow by my personal blade and those of my afamed followers, you will pay tribute to both Boaam and Stym, and will cease all trade with Chulom immediately.
You will soon learn to choose your battles wisely and to make good with what you dare, when you dare, and how you dare to tempt War's bleeding sword to appear over your heavens.
The Ancestors be with you.
Farewell,
Khan Vin Kilvenu
Afterwards, messengers are sent to Sunji, conveying Stymese support for Boaam against the Setrus League, but cautioning mild temperments in dealing with the Boaamese-Chulomese conflict, as the process of peace and trade between Sunji and Stym would be better left uninterrupted. | |
