First i'd like to compliment you all on playing so well early on, your patience while the kinks were worked out of the new economic system and the diligence you've shown in making it work.
now a few quick clarifications just to make sure we're on the same page:
discounts on a particular troop type do not apply to their mercenary counterparts. unless you have a mercenary discount, then mercenaries cost twice the normal, nondiscounted regular troops.
to figure out your base income, add 100 for every town, 500 for every city, and 10000 in reg rt monthly taxes. then just multiply that result by .2 and the result is the value of a trade treaty to your kingdom.
peace treaties, trade bonuses, tribute or trade or any other form of income are not calculated into that.
mercenaries do have to be paid immediately when hired, and then again on the first of every rt month (so i wouldnt hire them on the 31st *L*) regardless of whether you hired them on the 2nd, 30th, or any other date.
the cost of arming a ship is included in its purchase, as are the sailors needed to operate it.
when an army launches an invasion, it does not need to pay the supply cost (half the number of troops in the army) for 4 rt months. the nation is presumed to be able to provide those things initially.
if a ship destroys a town, unless it lands people to plunder the place, that kingdom gets no money for the destruction. (but the nation plundered does lose income from that place for 2 rt months)
I think that covers all the faqs and things i think may come up.
again, my compliments to you all for a job well done. and best of luck to you all. S | |
