Lu Bu indeed accepted Cao Cao's offer without a second thought. He was indeed in a very tightposition politically, and needed to seal any breaches that this move had caused.
Lu Bu had not invaded Boaam....Boaam was handed to him by thier own Regent, who wished for an end to the infighting and warring. Bu would make this clear to both Cao Cao and Cao Te. His succession was the political wish of Regent Han Mo, the successor of the Regent Zenshi Davris.
As far as the cities occupied by Sunjian forces, no move was made to usher Cao's forces from the land. Cao's forces, in fact, were treated as brethren in the land, and were made welcome. Bu was pleased by his mens actions and this would be his chance to speak with the Lord formally on matters of politic and annexation. They would meet soon, and all would be laid bare.
