The first Sabbat intiate turned to his "brother" that was standing alongside the frozen iron gates leading into Venway's oldest cemetry. First the first time in a month, the foul skies above Venway weren't starless and the smog had seemed to lift its strangehold from the city, even though the cold grip of Winter had turned its waters to a chilling black and stripped the fingers of the branches of the trees free of their green vigor.
Breathing in a useless breathe of frozen air, the Brujah Antitribu said, "Did you hear about that Griffinsbane woman taking out the Hall?"
"Who?"
"I don't know her name. She's a warrior," the Brujah said, shrugging.
Running a hand over the ice-encased gate spikes, the first searched his memories, asking, "Is she a Vennen?"
"No."
"Then how is she a true warrior?"
The Brujah's annoyance then became apparent, smiling cryptically in response. He dared not to reveal the horrific scar she'd left on his chest. "She just is."
"Must be an italian like Cesare, then?"
"No, they say he's Vennish. I think she's Irish, or something like that. She has fire red hair."
"Beautiful?"
"You'd probably fuck her, if that's what you're asking. But she's an assassin and nobody's been able to fuck with this far. People listen to her too. They're loyal to her. I heard that she took out the entire Hall of Darkness. All of those fucking Demons are gone. "
The two looked between each other, realizing at the same time, "We better go tell Cesare."
