They fell in love late last summer,
Without each other knowing.
Deeper and deeper they fell into each other,
But soon, passion stopped flowing.
They pushed and pushed, but no avail,
The fire had died at last.
Nothing remained for them this time,
They couldn't live in the past.
No longer could she stand and lie,
Pretending she loved him.
She had never been the strong one,
Suddenly, life was dim.
He yelled and screamed, then begged "Oh Love!
Please, PLEASE come back to me!"
He sat in the dark room alone,
His tears, they now fell free.
They met again just yesterday.
She was still on her own,
He was engaged to someone knew,
But both were still alone.
For those of you NOT poetically inclined...This...is a ballad...it almost strictly fits the pattern...-l- I'd like opinions please... |
