Yes, this means that I am reorganizing the Mutiny Alliance, as I finally have found the proper motivation to do so.
For anybody who wants to take part in this, please contact me, or better yet just make yourselves involved. Do things spontaneously, like they were often done in the best storylines of warfare and intrigue.
There are no set endings. Nothing is set in stone. But the future of warmongers on the Ship is on your hands. :)
I want to make something else clear too. We all have preferences, but let's keep this open to AD&D, freestyle, and White Wolf by being open-minded, fair, and all such things. Different styles of play work fine together as long as its all about the game and not the system. That's been long proven and its generally just a purist's lie that systems can not mix. So, anyways, thats just what I have to say about it.
Some other ideas worth looking into, I believe would be...
A geographical overview of the "field of play" we have at hand. We should detail things, such as strongholds and territories, the people there, et cetera.
Using these plans different factions can raid and sabotage one another in more ways than just walking up to each other on the ship and hacking and blasting away. (Wasn't there a discussion on the need for NEW things in roleplaying here, earlier?)
What makes this something new? Something original than the normal, ghost ship killfest? See the above plans for the first examples. We can actually go into the setting more than just a ship.
A new plot. It's not JUST the old Warlock Order evil fascists trying to conquer everything. Thats not nearly all thats involved here. What we have a chance to do is get some of the best ever conspirators and puppet masters in the East Wing and pit them together in shifty alliances and struggle for not just power, not just survival, but the very existance of life as the player characters know it.
What's behind all of the treachory, powerplays, and living chess games? Something very very very BAD.
Anyways, that's just what I have to say, and the things that I'm putting forth. A word of advice, though, DON'T say we cant do it. DON'T say it "just wont work." Make it work!
Any one who has no desire to play this type of game, that's fine. But you've got to remember. This shit DOES and will happen. It's not a World of Darkness thing, it's a fact of simple storytelling (not just the white wolf kind). Its called conflict, people. Everything has it. Some just like more of it than others. So, don't forget, you can be involved but not throw yourself into the path of monstrous assassins and murderous soldiers. But like I said. Life goes on for those not involved, right?
Well, this is just the beginning. I know I did leave some shit out. but it will catch up to me.
