| How do I dare to disband the Mutiny Alliance? How do I make this decision? I'll tell you how, Alec. I open my eyes to the truth. The truth, brother, is the essence of freedom. The later can not exist with out the former. But an illusion can. All an illusion needs is lies. And the truth is that the Hierarchy is dead. You go off and "fight for your case" and "kill those who oppose you" and you will not be fighting and killing the Hierarchy. It's over, Alec, Kurokawa. It is finished. The crusade has been concluded. The Mutiny Alliance is the only one left standing. But we are a war machine, made because of war, crafted from war, tempered in war, and existing for war. That war is over. Therefor, I must fufill my final duty and prevent any further, unnecessary slaughter from occuring. You want proof? Look at yourself, Alec. You rant and rave and cry out to me about how you must go on, how you WILL go on, fighting and killing for the "cause." What cause, therefor I ask the two of you. What cause have you to perform acts of destruction and murder in the name of the Mutiny Alliance? Power? Fortune? Misleading yourselves and others into following a ghost of crusade that ended when the last REAL enemy of the Mutiny alliance was vanquished? Because, I assure you, brothers... soldiers, that enemy has been vanquished. The only enemies we have left now are innocents and strangers. And, obviously, each other...
No. I will never allow either of you to drag the Mutiny Alliance's name through the mud, and prove to the rest of the world that we are nothing but butchers acting upon sheer greed and murderousness. Open your eyes and step back, Kurokawa and Alec. Just turn around and walk away; for this is my final plea to you both. The Warlock Order is crippled. And we have either destroyed the very existances or power bases of all the other members of the collective Hierarchy. But there is one step that remains, gentlemen. That step is doing the right thing. Preventing the instrument of destruction used against enemies that deserved to be brought down, from being used against those who have no place in this war. No place in this war because it has ENDED.
Do not dare, for an instant, to mistake my wish to remove the gun and the sword from politics as a sign of weakness. Do not open another facet of blood, Kurokawa and Alec. You may never be able to turn it off. Do not overestimate yourself, Alec. Most have accepted my decision in understanding and graces. I chose a time frame when the truest disgraces to our name, Eastlock, Montrilo, Nor Black, et cetera, were already known as the traitorous, corrupt scum that they are. I did this for the safety of all, so that these villains would have no chance at manipulating those who knew their place in the ideaology of the Mutiny Alliance. I pray now, however, that you will not choose to join them.
Marcus Brutus fell on his sword because he faced defeat, he faced death and humiliation at the hands of Octavius and Antony, Kurokawa. Yes, I have read Shakespeare as well, and I assure you... I will not share the fate of Brutus. Do what you will as independent agents, both of you. Create your own institutions, and, if they are just, they have my blessings. But do not test me on this, and do not underestimate me as an "old man, too weak and weary to lead any longer." Brutus lost. I will not.
Sincerely,
