The 'Venway Documents,' Vol. One

[The following information is, naturally, quite top secret even amongst the echelons of the Camarilla. Knowledge of it exists only between Mattias Ezekiel, Matthew Crowley, and those whom they might choose to tell; which is, in accordance to loyalty, nobody. But I'm not making any promises :-)]

My Esteemed Son, Matthew Crowley,
I hope that the night finds you well. England is truly a marvelous place. There exists no other bastion of our kind where we can claim such supremacy. It rains often, here in London, as it has since the Caesars, and our noble clan with them, brought civilization to all of Europe. Such a reassuring, comforting sound, this drone of rain. Neither the will of kings, nor the Luftwaffe bombs of 1940 could dispell the marvelous storms that brew in this country. I have traversed it's landscapes quite thoroughly, reaquanting myself with friends and allies of old, and new associates whom I find shall prove to be quite useful in this - the building of a Great Ventrue Empire.

Matthew I know I need never remind you that your family of the night, your clan, is counting upon you. I have no doubts of your professionalism in the face of such a burden; indeed, I feel immense pride that you have begun to follow in your sire's footsteps in bringing the law, order, justice, and peace that Clan Ventrue has to offer to territories fallen into the clutches of barbarians.

You current asignment, Matthew is to continue dipolomatic relations with the rogue prince Styxx. When the time comes, the threat he poses to our ultimate authority in Venway shall be taken care of with due process. I have no doubt, my son, that you know what that means. After the removal of Raven Styxx, the anarch rabble shall be brought to heel - I hope, peacefully. However, as anarchs go, they may be reluctant to see the reason and sense of the Camarilla annexation of the Venway territories. As you engage Prince Styxx, I request that you gather extensive intelligence on all anarch leaders ... barons, overlords, big poppa's, what ever they might fancy themselves.

Send emmisaries to parley with the anarch leaders, but do not put yourself in unnecessary risks for them. Remember that they should only be repressed if they pose a threat to Camarilla security. Weakening the city structure in this, a time of great war and strife IS, my son, a threat to security. You should remind the anarchs that the Convention of Thorns garauntees them their rights and protection as Kindred of the Camarilla, and assure them that we can coexist in peace as long as they are cooperative. I will send you the documented evidence necessary to show them that the Anarch Movement is a part of the Camarilla whole, as signed by it's very leaders in the 15th Century.

For now, however, I would have you concentrate on gathering intelligence on any prominent figures or movements within the city and solidifying the proper elements for Venway to become subject to the Great Ventrue Empire. As always, this document MUST be kept classified from all parties save you and I, at all costs. Regardless.
