*The 85 Dragons that Fincara has under his direct command (not counting the 15 with Archos and the 25 with Cypress) take turns on long recon patrolls in the sky so far no air resistance has been seen. The few sightings of U-boat sparatic and seemingly random but now the dragons are equiped with depth charges.
Fincara passed on the information to Ordell about magical charges but refused them himself as they would fail to work if they ever came near a fireelf so they were useless to him but the depth charges on the other hand were perfect.
After picking the 80 up Fincara decided to personally test them and went out on a patrol with 15 other Dragons and riders....after 6 hours in the sky feeling discuraged Fincara spots a lone surfaced U-boat exchanging air and circles high in the air and comes in from the direction of the sun to blind the lookouts.
As the dive takes place Fincara unhinges one charge then another and banks...the first charge lands slightly starboard exploding and crippling the ship the second explodes on impact as it hits the small top deck setting off a chain reaction within the U-boat. Within seconds the U-boat sinks taking all its passengers with it...
Fincara comes out of his bank wondering if the commander got off a message...doubtfully but just in case he leads his forces into a different location. Hit and run when we get the opportunity...yes a garrilla war for now.*
ooc: Fincara's forces will continue to fight this kind of attrition battle taking out small groups of U-boats in this manner when the odds are extreemly in their favor or the tactics are that much better.
it is conceievable that a good number of U-boats would disapear without them being found to be the cause and then noticing missing or late check in something would seem amiss and the U-boats would be looked into what was happening.
