Venway City - 2001. The city seems to be only a shadow of its former self, as well. A shadow that is rotting within its own darkness. Recovering from the horrific atrocities of the guerrilla campaign against Warlock Order occupation in '99-'00, Venway's reabilitation had been further crushed by the overwhelming militant atmosphere cloaking the town. The harbor is vacant, for an unknown reason. Around the borders of the town not waterfront, are two massive systems of trenches, still in the work. The extremely rainy climate of the town has converted these once-farmlands into hellish and pollution-choked mud testiments to Vennish militarism.
In some ways, however, this "war" has been good for a people who have lost hope and lost their sense of patriotism in Venway that was decimated by Raven Styxx's year-long stint as dictator. Though still violent and anarchic, the people have united their violence in defense of their homes.
The isles, as a whole, are slowly being rebuilt in a baroque transformation into a dynamic clash of the modern countercultures of rebellion and revolution - forever rooted within the psyche of a war-hardened people and a younger generation enraged beyond control by violence and oppression. Industry thrives next to abandoned ruins of the terroristic attacks that rocked the capitol during the guerilla fighting and civil warfare that began with Raven Styxx - who's hated image is still burned amidst scores of dancing and screaming youth. Machine gun nests, hidden but whispered about, protect various positions across the town, and gangsters turned crusaders by Cypress' ideology patrol the streets, armed with a mixture of knives, swords, and firearms. Many buildings and businesses have veered away from electric lighting, returning to oil lamps and lanterns for a source of illumination that can not be sabotaged so easily.
Cypress Dreadslay had given this generation exactly what they clamoured for - a war. This was Venway fighting back against the thing that had caused it to be one of the most miserable places on Earth.
It's almost humorous that the Mutiny Alliance has still not admitted to its own existance. This city is so wrought, on the surface, by anarchy and the absence of government that it would have been destroyed long ago if the M.A. did not control everything beneath the veil of intoxicating fatalism and dream-like governmental abolition.
At least the Technocracy probably hates this place.

At around 3:00 in the morning, the skies still shrouded in starless urban darkness and the streets darker than ever, choked by unhealthy mists from the polluted bay, a band of young men clad in black hoodies and baggy, fringed denim, heavily armed with the swords and pistols that mark a group of Cypress' "Sword and Machine Gun" militias (with out the machine guns!) hand over a parchment to Sky at her doorstep. They mumble that it's "straight from the top" and "urgent business."
Sky,
I'm amazed to see you are still around. Pleased, but amazed all the time. I still recall the night you saved me from the radiation-spewing sickness that was wrought into me from an enemy's blade. That may have been the last time we really ever spoke.
Welcome back, Sky Pariax. I hope you do not mind Venway's "new look" - it is quite an improvement from what was, only months ago. Quite a statement about the fortitude of our homeland.
Unfortunately, there is not much time for casual speech, here. The Mutiny Alliance is now engaged in perhaps its most destructive and most vital struggle against the Warlock Order. Have you heard of them?
We can meet sometime and discuss old times, or something. My little brother ((OOC: hehe)) is currently away from Venway. But I will send him word that you are back.
Sincerely,
Cypress Dreadslay
((Hi Ama... I hope you dont mind me saying Cypress knows she's here? I just wanted to reply to the post... No harm intended. Anyways, hope you'll reply soon. Thanks

See ya.))
