The gunners didn't stop firing even whenever their targets seemed to disappear into thin air. They changed their target to a spot 50 yards infront of the demons, to create a wall of machine gun fire.
From the opposite direction, the war machine closes in. Now the war machine began to close in. It began to fire large shells from a turrent mounted ontop of the spiked vechile. Accomplied by infantry, these men stood in a single line across the street. Their bayonets were held in position. Unfortunately, most of the soldiers were inexperienced. Against the unseen enemy, they couldn't hold their hands steady.
Anything caught between the wall of machine gun fire and the war machine had a deathwish.
