Response to The Skies are ours...

"When attacking strike from the highest heights of heaven, when defending, hide in the most secret crevices of the earth" -Sun Tzu "The Art of War"

((how'd the WO know archos sent any dragons, if you will recall, they did not reveal themselves until they actually assaulted? well, i suppose it is hard to hide 8 flights of dragons on the march. s well done. but unlike the WO, i did not send my whole air corps. and a dragon may launch into the air on an instant. so we've got an air battle on our hands to rp just beyond the Godslayer camp, so here is my move.))

Archos knew well the ferocity of the Roc. The one true rival of the Dragon, for dominion over the skies. And so when the 5 flights of Rocs appeared on the horizon, Archos's dragons were all nerved to go out and do battle. Archos did not discourage this, but rather ordered the assault to begin. He ordered 6 flights up to meet the charge, and kept 4 back, and set them to flying just beyond the border of each camp. The ground troops took their cover where they could, many having dug fox holes, pulled over strips of metal or wood to protect themselves from the blasts they knew would come. The artillery fired up to create chaos amongst the advancing Rocs. (artillery is only at WWII tech. so its not very effective except if a shell explodes right nearby an advancing Roc. might take out a few. but not many. should force em to scatter, but thats about it.) The Dragons had few guns to them, but they had their blades, and they had their flames, and as importantly, guns from below opened up against the advancing rocs. It would be the harshest Air to air battle thus far. And perhaps the most critical since the air battles over Galen Thal.

The dragons scattered and sent balls of fire towards the onrushing bomber rocs. (the dragons will aim for the body's of the rocs, the infantry will fire from below, meaning they'd hit bombs. not sure how well armored they are though. maybe they'd wreck em, maybe not, you'd know better than i.)
