Dear Zetaman ,
I think it is about time that you precisely define the moderating rules (boundaries) for moderators.
There is an obvious conflict of interest between so called "ethnically clean" moderators who represent strict nationalistic and quite often very aggressive views and so called "ethnic outsiders" ("nepodobni moderatori"). We need to address this problem before we find ourselves heading towards another "Greek tragedy".
I am fully aware of my peculiar position on your forums.
In my case calling myself "an independent moderator" per se would be perhaps inaccurate since I represent views and values of The United Europe, which very often contradict those of "native Balkanians".
I am not against expressing nationalistic, totalitarian, undemocratic views on these forums. To the contrary, as a matter of fact it gives all of us (especially us in the West, who have professional links with the Balkans) an excellent socio-political insight into the Balkan world.
I am - however - against the authoritarian, undemocratic and totalitarian methods some of the moderators implement while defending their views.
Zetaman, unfortunately some irresponsible, immature moderators abuse your trust by obtaining unrestricted access to the delete key. In another words far too often some moderators on these forums misinterpret or even abuse their powers confusing the delete key on their PCs with a trigger of a gun.
Restrictions of the freedom of speech, disrespect towards other's intellectual property (including that of other moderators') is the main factor contributing to a gradual deterioration of these forums.
Let us not turn these forums into another Balkan battlefield or some kind of a proxy-war or virtual ethnic cleansing...
