Algonquin Weather/Radio

From another heated post sounds like other people also use radios for weather reports. Just wondering what stations people tune into for the weather?

Usually just search around till I find something, the best luck I have had is with some station in North Bay that is on the lower end of the FM band.

I have read about a shortwave weather station channel that is rebroadcast by Friends of Algonquin to FM, 101.3 I think, but have had no luck in actually tuning into it, or atleast I have never had any luck hearing anything on it. Does it only operate sometimes?
