I'm just wondering if any of you have some route suggestions for our group this spring. Most of us have been to the park in the past, including a successful spring laker trip into Bonchere last year. This year, after months of fighting with the girlfriends and fiances, it looks like we're all going to actually make this happen. Now all we need is a good lake(s).
Here are the basics:
-looking for a good base camp lake, day trips into other lakes
-fish for lakers and specks
-no really long portages (or I'll hear it the rest of the year)
-5-6 days

I don't expect any hidden gems to be offered up so easily, but do I truly appreciate any suggestions.

ps - anybody know of good speckled lakes near bonchere?

With the criteria you quoted, I would pick Big Porcupine as the lake for my base camp. It has lakers and specks in it. Plenty of lakes to side trip from here.

Kirkwood....lakers
Lawrence....lakers
North Grace...lakers and specks
Louisa....lakers

to set up a great base camp before supper)

Welcome/Harry/Rence (Specks)

Fish Pen/Clydegale/Rock/Galeairy or Gem ..
....Many a speck caught in Rock
where the creek come out of Pen
....easy loop from Pen to Galeairy with return via Rock
Lakers possible in Galeary/Rock
....Lakers or Specks in Pen and Specks in Gem

Back to Harry/welcome/Rence for Specks or
day trip to Louisa for Lakers


Day 5... Still time to fish Pen in morning
and an easy out still by early afternoon but
then you must head home
